Germany: Locals Condemn the Ongoing Persecution in China

Nov. 9, 2020 |   By Falun Dafa practitioners in Germany

(Minghui.org) Nearly every weekend Falun Dafa practitioners have been raising awareness  in several major cities in North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous area in Germany. Even though there are fewer tourists due to the CCP virus (coronavirus) pandemic many people stop at practitioners’ information sites and sign the petition to end the persecution.

Raising Awareness in Wuppertal

Practitioners in Wuppertal hold an Information Day in the city square nearly every weekend. On October 31, they gathered once again in the city’s square.

This was the last weekend in November before a government declared partial lock down. Although people are still shopping like usual, many cautiously maintain their social distance. As soon as the exercise music started, many passersby stopped and asked about the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa in China. Several people signed the petition to end the persecution.

A Vietnamese man who worked in China said that he knew how bad the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) was and asked why Falun Dafa practitioners were targeted for persecution. After a practitioner explained that the CCP is against Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, he immediately signed the petition.

Raising Awareness in Essen

Practitioners have maintained an information site in downtown Essen for several years. They held informational events in October and many local residents stopped to learn more about Falun Dafa and sign the petition.

In addition to collecting signatures to end the persecution, practitioners also started a petition to “Eliminate the CCP.” One gentleman was so interested that he talked with practitioners for nearly an hour.

Dusseldorf

Dusseldorf residents sign the petition to end the persecution.

Dusseldorf is the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. Local practitioners have maintained an information site there for many years and also gather in places like Burgplatz to clarify the truth. Many people tell them, “It's great that you are trying your best to end the persecution.” When a school teacher learned that practitioners were volunteers, she said, “You are truly extraordinary.” Every weekend many people stop and watch practitioners do the exercises. After learning about the persecution they sign the petition to end it.
