(Minghui.org) I’d like to share my understandings about the current election situation.

When I send forth righteous thoughts, I have been using the guidance from the Minghui editorial “The Essentials to Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts and the Schedule for Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts at Set Times Around the World (Update 2)” published back in 2005 to direct my intention:

“After cleansing your mind, what should you think about before reciting the verses?

Again taking sending forth righteous thoughts simultaneously across the world as an example: after cleansing yourself, starting at the top of each hour and for at least five minutes each time, all of the Dafa disciples across the world should think about the following:

1) Eradicate all evil that damages Dafa, disintegrating all of the dark minions and rotten demons, destroying all elements of the Communist evil specter and all of its evil factors of the Chinese Communist Party in other dimensions, encompassing all of it and leaving out none”

For me, when I send forth righteous thoughts, I now add a thought to disintegrate the evil communist specter trying to keep Trump from being re-elected. I use Master’s teaching in “Stay Rational” to guide me:

“The CCP is in its death throes and trying to harm people by causing pandemonium in the world. Dafa disciples should not allow themselves to get ungrounded by any of this. Stick to the fundamentals, and you will be able to see the upheaval that’s taking place in the proper light.” 

I believe the key for practitioners is to eliminate the specter of the CCP in other dimensions. While I do support Trump on the surface level, I am clear in my mind that I am not relying on him or putting faith in him; as practitioners we should have faith in Master and not in an ordinary person. But we should still keep in mind the recent Minghui editorial, “We Must Know and Be Clearheaded about Our Principles and Fundamentals:”

“As cultivators, although we do not participate in ordinary people’s politics, we need to know what is righteous and wicked, distinguish good from evil, and know who we want to support (Trump).”

I don’t feel compelled to take to the streets waving a Trump flag or donate to Trump’s legal defense fund, but I’m not criticizing practitioners for doing so; we should measure our actions in the world according to our understandings of the Fa, and we all have different levels of understanding. 

I believe our responsibility at this time is to eliminate the factors in other dimensions that interfere with Master’s arrangement. As the Minghui editorial puts it, “Trump is the man chosen by the divine to return to tradition and disintegrate the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).”

I’ve seen that practitioners have a variety of views about Trump about whether he’s good or bad and worth supporting or not, but I believe the Fa passage below is important to keep in mind:

“Haven’t I said that when you look at things in the Three Realms, things are reversed? Many of the things that mankind considers bad are good. And many things that mankind considers good are bad. Isn’t the conventional wisdom in the human world inverted?” (“Teaching the Fa in Canada, 2006” from Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. VII)

I hope we can all let go of our human notions, look inside, and think about how we can harmonize what Master wants: for Trump to be re-elected and thereby disintegrate the CCP, and perhaps usher in the beginning of the Fa-rectification of the human world. We need to wake up and seriously think about the recent guidance from Minghui and Master and not stand in opposition to them.

“So for the beings of the old cosmos, and this includes all the elements of beings, when it comes to the Fa-rectification and what I choose, all beings’ harmonizing and completing things according to my choices and contributing their best ideas and approaches--not to change what I want, but to harmonize and complete things according to what I’ve said--is the best thought a being in the cosmos could have.” (Fa-Lecture During the 2003 Lantern Festival at the U.S. West Fa Conference)
