(Minghui.org) I’m a 33-year-old civil servant. Two years ago when I was eight months pregnant, my mother came from our distant hometown to take care of me. My mother is a diligent Falun Dafa practitioner. She tells everyone she meets about Falun Dafa and how it is being persecuted, and she continued to do so when she came to help me.
One day when my mother was talking to people, she was reported to the police. They took her to a detention center. When I sorted out her clothes the police sent home, I found blood. I was shocked and frightened. I was worried about her safety and I cried every night. I had never experienced anything so terrifying. I felt helpless and didn’t know what to do.
A local Falun Dafa practitioner came to me and said, “Don’t be afraid, we will rescue your mother. You are like our family.” My mother had just come to this city and the local practitioners did not know her. I wept with gratitude! I finally had someone to help me. The practitioners encouraged and told me not to be afraid. We needed to face the police with courage. My mother did nothing wrong. They told me to go to the police and ask them to release my mother.
I stopped feeling panicky and anxious and knew what to do. I knew I needed to uphold justice and rescue my mom!
Two female practitioners accompanied me to the detention center. I asked to meet their director. When I saw her I immediately said, “Why is there blood on my mother’s clothes? What have you done to her?” She did not dare to admit anything. She just said she didn’t do it and didn’t know what happened. I pointed out, “Aren’t you wearing a police uniform? As their leader how can you allow the police to beat my mother? Your police officers tortured an unarmed older lady in the middle of the night, knocked out her front teeth, and her clothing was covered with her blood! Don’t you feel that you are committing a shameful crime?”
As I spoke to her I had no fear.
After that meeting, whenever I went to the detention center the police supervisors hid from me. When I saw a policeman dragging my mother I shouted, “Stop dragging her!” He immediately let go of her. No one dared to abuse my mother after that. They praised me as a good, filial daughter.
I wrote my mother a note and said, “Your friends [the local practitioners] and I are talking about hiring a lawyer. Although they’ve never met me before, they [the practitioners] are doing their best to help you. Have confidence! If you need something let me know.”
I later learned that my mother continued to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa despite being in such a harsh environment. I’m really proud of her! One night I dreamed that I saw my mom come home and Master (Li Hongzhi) was smiling and waving to her. I know that my mother is able to face any difficulty with a smile.
On several occasions, a police officer in charge of persecuting practitioners threatened me and described how he would have my mother imprisoned. I heard that this officer had illegally arrested practitioners for more than a decade and extorted money from their families. Many practitioners he abused were sentenced to jail. He kept hinting that I should give him money, and I knew he was a thug.
I ignored his threats. Instead of giving him money, I hired three lawyers for my mother. My mother asked a lawyer to help me file a complaint against that officer. I immediately went with my father to all the police departments, the procuratorate, and the courts, with letters I wrote to expose the crimes this policeman had committed. My father and our lawyer went to the police station to look for him many times. He didn’t dare to see us. The lawyer openly said to the officers at that police station, “We plan to file a legal complaint against him.”
In the end, that police officer was dismissed. People who knowingly do evil always meet with retribution.
When my mother’s case opened in court, the prosecutor said that I was the “witness” to my mother’s crimes. I raised my hand and said, “I can’t testify against my mother. I have benefited so much because my mother is a Falun Dafa practitioner. When my mother is being abused and suffering, I will do my best to rescue her. How could I be a so-called ‘witness’? Isn’t that ridiculous?”
Although I’m not a practitioner, I saw through the Chinese Communist Party’s tricks. They frame people even when there’s no evidence. The Party uses any excuse to turn innocent people into scapegoats. The true nature of the Communist Party is evil and seeks to destroy good people.
On the day of the trial, many practitioners gathered outside the courtroom. Some could not afford to take a taxi and so they walked for miles. I was deeply impressed and grateful for their support. The police tried to drive them away but they were not afraid so no one left. I could feel their energy and compassion. Even the police were very impressed! Falun Dafa’s principles, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are truly mankind’s hope!
A year later, my mother returned home. She asked, “Weren’t you afraid of losing your position when you filed the legal complaint?” I said, “I thought about that. If that happened, I would have gone all the way to Beijing to file a complaint. I was determined to uphold justice and rescue you!”
Mother told me, “The police at the detention center were paying attention to your efforts. One policeman happily told me, ‘Your good daughter is hiring a lawyer. You are blessed!’ The lawyer told me, ‘Your daughter is a good writer and she is doing everything for you.’ Another police said, ‘Your daughter is outstanding!’”
I was in the last stage of my pregnancy when my mother was abducted. Nearly overcome with worry I wept every day. Maybe that was why my baby cried every night after he was born. After my mother was released, she reminded me to say, “Falun Dafa is good” to my son. He never cried at night again. Falun Dafa is amazing!
Practitioners said that I would be blessed for helping my mother and standing up for Falun Dafa. It’s true. Not only did I not lose my job, but I was transferred to the department I wanted. I failed the department’s entrance exam a few years ago, but after this incident, I got in even without taking any exams. My family is happy and healthy.
