(Minghui.org) The Arkansas Senate unanimously passed resolution SR 14, “to encourage the United States Congress and the Arkansas Congressional Delegation to work to end organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in the People's Republic of China,” on February 28, 2019.

The bill was introduced by State Senator Bill Sample on February 12 at the 92nd General Assembly. The senate resolution follows an earlier house resolution, HR 1022, which was passed on February 18.

The resolution calls upon the Chinese government to “immediately end the practice of organ harvesting from all prisoners and prisoners of conscience” and “immediately end the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong and release all Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience.”

It also calls for an investigation by the United States Department of State into organ transplant practices in China, the prosecution of those found to have engaged in unethical practices, and the denial of entry to perpetrators involved in these transplant abuses.

Furthermore, the resolution encourages the medical community to educate colleagues and residents about the risks of traveling to China for organ transplants to avoid unwittingly becoming involved in the killing for organs.
