(Minghui.org) A Dalian City, Liaoning Province resident targeted in a group arrest last year for her faith in Falun Gong has been sentenced to three years and three months in prison.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Jiang Lianxiang, 66, was arrested along with 22 other Falun Gong practitioners in Dalian on November 12, 2018.
The police ransacked her home and sent her to Yaojia Detention Center. She developed high blood pressure there and often felt dizzy.
The police later submitted Ms. Jiang’s case to the Xigang District Procuratorate. The Xigang District Court sentenced her to prison. Her appeal against the verdict was rejected.
Ms. Jiang was sent to Liaoning Women’s Prison on October 22, 2019.
The other practitioners arrested on November 12, 2018 are:
Ms. Song Shuchun, Ms. Song Xuecun, Ms. Chen Guoyan, Mr. Chen Guoli, Ms. Chen Guohua, Ms. Sun Mingjia, Ms. Sun Yuzhi, Ms. Wang Xufeng, Ms. Xu Yanxia, Ms. Dang Li, Ms. Liu Lihua, Ms. Zhang Min, Ms. Xu Yanling, Ms. Cheng Yurong, Ms. Chen Yuerong, Ms. Cao Limei, Mr. Zhang Kexin, Ms. Wang Junying, Ms. Zou Xiuyan, Ms. Sun Zili, Mr. Liu, and a practitioner surnamed Guo.
Among them, Ms. Xu Yanxia, 55, Mr. Zhang Kexin, 40, Ms. Song Shuchun, 70, and Ms. Song Xuexun, 69, have been indicted and are awaiting trial.
Ms. Cheng Yurong, 70, appeared in the Ganjingzi District Court on May 16, 2019 and is awaiting a verdict.
Ms. Chen Yuerong, 61, and Ms. Wang Junying, 51, are facing indictment after their arrests were approved by the procuratorate.
