(Minghui.org) Ms. Li Hezhen, a Falun Gong practitioner in Hubei Province, was arrested for her belief on June 4, 2018. She was recently sentenced to four years and sent to the Baofeng Road Women's Prison in Wuhan City.
The arrest of Ms. Li, 72, took place at Zhongshan Park in Wuhan City. Officers from the Wangjiadun Police Station sent her to a detention center without informing her family. Because she lives by herself, her family did not realize that anything was amiss until over 10 days later when they visited her. Her daughter-in-law reported that Ms. Li's place was in terrible disarray and that a lot of her personal belongings were missing.
It remains unknown on which day Ms. Li was sentenced. Her family has never been notified of her arrest or trial.
This is not the first time that Ms. Li has been targeted for her belief. Since the Chinese communist regime began to persecute Falun Gong in July 1999, she has been detained four times at Wuhan First Detention Center, and for over a year at a brainwashing center.
