(Minghui.org) Informed and moved, expo visitors expressed their gratitude for finding Falun Dafa at the 2018 Baby Boomers Expo in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
As they approached the Dafa booth, many visitors paused, slowed down and looked over the signs, posters, and banners. Reading about the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China, their faces showed disbelief, abhorrence, and sadness. Most were silent, shaking their heads as they read, while others couldn’t hold back their feelings. Some gasped and whispered, “Oh no! Is this really happening? Can this be true?”
Practitioners at the booth explained Falun Dafa and its persecution by the communist regime in China. Some visitors worked their way through the exhibition booth and read more about Dafa. Many signed a petition by Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH) calling attention to the state-sanctioned killing of practitioners for organs in China.
Some people asked incredulously, “Why isn’t something being done about this?” Practitioners showed them a resolution by the U.S. House of Representatives, which condemns China for its persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners and other religious and minority groups.
From the crowd streaming past the booth, some took just a brief glance at the signs before walking straight to the table to sign the petition without any discussion or explanation. One of them said, “If you don’t support this, what would you support?!”
One woman stopped halfway through one of the persecution banners and said, “Look! The hair on my arms is standing up! This is horrible, horrible–it can’t be true!” She finished reading with pain in her eyes and talked to a practitioner. “This cannot be. Where do I sign? I am coming back with the rest of my family. We will all sign.” And she did: over the next hour, she brought her father, mother, sister, and two friends, all of whom signed the petition.
After learning about Dafa and its principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, some visitors asked about learning the exercises and obtaining the main book, Zhuan Falun. Several tried the Dafa exercises and left smiling and grateful.
The Falun Dafa booth was simple compared to many hi-tech installations at the expo. The booth featured a photo of Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, on the cover of the 1993 Qigong magazine.
“This is the most important booth here,” one visitor said after talking to practitioners. Some visitors encouraged practitioners to continue their efforts. “You know, you are doing the most important thing at this expo,” one said.
