Additional Persecution News from China – June 23, 2018 (22 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 were illegally arrested.

1. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Guo Jinyan Arrested

Ms. Guo Jinyan was arrested on June 21, 2018.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xue Li Mistreated in Prison

Ms. Xue Li from the Daowai District was arrested in April 2017. She was sentenced to a five-year prison term in February 2018, and was taken to the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison.

Ms. Xue was recently beaten and force-fed unknown drugs.

3. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Xingping and His Wife Ms. Lu Meixiang Arrested

Mr. Zhang Xingping, 72, and his wife Ms. Lu Meixiang, from Suiyang Town, were reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of June 20, 2018. They were arrested by officers from the Beihan Border Police Station, Suifenhe City.

Ms. Lu is being held in the police station, while Mr. Zhang was taken to hospital due to his poor health.

4. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Mr. Fu Renjiang's Case Turned Over to Procuratorate

Mr. Fu Renjiang was arrested after he was seen hanging Falun Gong banners on May 13, 2018. His case was filed at the Procuratorate.

5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Cuilan's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Wang Cuilan from the Nangang District was arrested when she was traveling out of town by train to attend a class reunion on June 20, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Wang's whereabouts are unknown.

6. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Yujie Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhao Yujie was arrested in Gongzhuling City on July 30, 2017. She was sentenced to a 13-month prison term and taken to the Liaoning Province Women's Prison in mid-March 2018.

7. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zu Chao and His Wife Ms. Liu Ruiyu Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Zu Chao and his wife Ms. Liu Ruiyu were sentenced to prison in the Yuyao City Court in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, on June 21, 2018.

Ms. Liu was sentenced to 18 months in prison, and Mr. Zu to 16 months.

8. [Qingyuan County, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Mr. Ding Guozhu, Ms. Wang Yan, Ms. Xu Junying, Ms. Zhang Chuanwen, and Ms. Yang Xiufang from Nankouqian Town were arrested by Aojiabao Township Police Station officers on the afternoon of June 21, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong in Qingyuan County. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books, computers, printers, and other personal belongings.

Ms. Wang, Ms. Xu, Ms. Zhang, and Ms. Yang were taken to the Fushun City Detention Center, while Mr. Ding was taken to the Qingyuan County Detention Center.

Ms. Wang Riqing, 71, from the Jinzhou New District was arrested on April 14, 2018. She has been officially arrested.

10. [Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zheng Decai Detained

Mr. Zheng Decai from the Xiayaotun area in Xiaoying Village, Guangmingshan Town, was sentenced to an 18-month prison term in the Zhuanghe City Court.

Mr. Zheng was taken to Nanguanling Prison in Dalian City on June 12, 2018. However, the prison refused to take him, so he was taken back to the Zhuanghe Detention Center.

11. [Beijing] Ms. Xie Zhiying and Ms. Wang Lianqun Detained

Ms. Xie Zhiying from the Zinanjiayuan area in the Chaoyang District was arrested near the Nanmofang area on the afternoon of June 12, 2018. She is being held in the Changying area.

Ms. Wang Lianqun from the Daxing District was followed and arrested by plainclothes officers on the afternoon of May 17, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken to the Daxing Detention Center.

12. [Tianjin] Ms. Cheng Guiying and Her Sister Ms. Cheng Guijing Officially Arrested

Ms. Cheng Guiying and her sister Ms. Cheng Guijing from the Nankai District were arrested by four police officers on the afternoon of May 17, 2018. Their cell phones and Falun Dafa books were confiscated.

Both practitioners were officially placed under arrest on June 22, 2018.

13. [Anqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Peihe Arrested

Ms. Wang Peihe was arrested on May 14, 2018.

14. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Tian Yongwen Detained

Ms. Tian Yongwen, 43, from the Development Zone was arrested at her home by officers from the Lingshanwei Town Police Station in the Huangdao District on June 8, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Tian is being held in the Pudong Detention Center.

15. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gu Songde Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Gu Songde was followed by 610 Office staff before the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit. She was arrested in June 2018 and is being held in the Lingyi Brainwashing Center.

16. [Qingdao City, Shenyang Province] Ms. Lu Fenghua Detained

Ms. Lu Fenghua from Xianggoutou Village in Yinzhu Town in the West Coast New Area was arrested on June 4, 2018. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Lu was taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

17. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Ma Jun and Ms. Zhao Yuhua Arrested

Mr. Ma Jun and Ms. Zhao Yuhua were arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong near Binhe Road on June 10, 2018.

Ms. Zhao is being held in the Kangtai Hospital, Dashaping Village. Mr. Ma's whereabouts are unknown.

18. [Huixian City, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Niu Haiwen, Ms. Cui Mei, Ms. Feng Lianhua, and Mr. Li Hairui from Sizhai Village in Nancun Township were arrested in the Wanxianshan Scenic Area on June 20, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

The four practitioners were taken to the Huixian City Detention Center.

19. [Wuhu City, Anhui Province] Mr. Mou Weimin Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Mou Weimin was recently sentenced to a five-year prison term.

20. [Wuhu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Lu Shoumei Detained

Ms. Lu Shoumei was arrested by the Yijiang District police on the afternoon of June 8, 2018, for distributing Falun Gong materials. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Lu is being held in the Wuhu City Detention Center.

21. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Liu Yaojuan Detained

Ms. Liu Yaojuan from the Ganyu District works odd jobs in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. She was arrested by officers from the Jiujianglu Police Station in the Shibei District of Qingdao on June 4, 2018.

Ms. Liu was taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

22. [Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Xiumei Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Wu Xiumei from Jinshi Town in the Chao'an District was recently sentenced to two years in prison and fined 3,000 yuan in the Chao'an District Court.
