(Minghui.org) To meet the arrest quota, the police of the Xiushuihezi Town Police Station of Faku County, broke into practitioner Mr. Niu Zhanhua's home at Sanjiazi Village around midnight of May 12 and arrested him. Practitioner Mr. Zhou Jianguo, who was visiting Mr. Niu at the time, was also arrested.
Cheng Zilong, the head of the station, ordered the arrest. One of the officers involved in the arrest was Wang Hongwei. They ransacked Mr. Niu's home and came back the next morning to ransack it again when no one was at home. They confiscated many Falun Gong books, a TV, a motorcycle and more than 1,000 yuan.
Mr. Zhou's home at Taishan Village, Yemaotai Town was also ransacked by director Guan Ning, officer Bo Yuxiang, and police from the Maotai Town Police Station.
Both practitioners were taken to the Faku County Detention Center.
Mr. Niu is single and in his 70's. During the past 19 years, he has been persecuted for not giving up his faith.
He was first arrested in December 1999. After 10 days of detention, he was transferred to a brainwashing center where he was detained for 115 days.
He was arrested again on August 30, 2004 and shocked with an electric baton. He was sentenced to two years of forced labor and detained in the Shenxin Forced Labor Camp, where he was tortured.
Mr. Niu was arrested on July 24, 2008, and sentenced to a four-year prison term. He was imprisoned in the Dongling Prison in Shenyang where he was tortured.
Mr. Niu, who suffered from hepatitis B and rheumatoid arthritis before practicing Falun Gong, returned to good health after he took up the practice.
Mr. Zhou was arrested in 1999, shortly after his wedding. He was detained in the brainwashing center for six months. His wife divorced him four month after their wedding.
