Military Officers Who Experienced Great Health Benefits from Falun Gong (Part 3)

May 05, 2018 |

(Minghui.org) Continued from Part 2.

When Falun Gong was banned in China in 1999, tens of millions of practitioners from all walks of life were practicing it. In this article, we highlight several military officers and how practicing Falun Gong improved their health and spiritual wellbeing.

Cui Dejun: A Life-Renewing Experience

When Mr. Cui Dejun first graduated from military school and joined the army, corruption was rampant nationwide. In the army, which is a relatively closed circle, it was even worse.

Cui was in charge of military vehicles and gasoline. It was the perfect setting for exploiting ill-gotten gains.

Everybody in that unit tried their best to make money on the side, and Cui was no exception. He also had a short temper and often took people to task for his own advantage. He didn't think there was anything wrong with that.

His pursuit of money consumed him, and his wife could not talk him out of it. One day, his wife gave him a copy of Zhuan Falun, the main book of Falun Gong, saying, “Please read it. If this book cannot change you, then I will give up on changing you.”

Cui agreed, thinking, “It's just a book. How could it change me?”

But before he even finished it, he realized how wrong he was. Cui understood that all of one's tribulations come from wrongdoings. He also realized why, although he was still young, he was tortured by so many health problems.

He said, “I used to think that making money was the most important thing or even the only important thing. But now I understand that a high moral standard is what is fundamental. As one's moral standards decline, tribulations start.”

Cui had been plagued by problems with his bones and stomach for a long time. When the pain was bad, he even thought about ending his life. The doctors said he had holes in his stomach and that he would have pain for the rest of his life.

Cui had taken every drug that was supposed to help that he could find. Every time he tried a new one, he had hope, but the results were always disappointing.

He said to himself, “I would trade all my wealth and my official rank for something that could cure just one of my ailments.”

When he first started practicing Falun Gong, he didn't think about the possibility that it could make him well. His motivation was to be a good person. To him, the teachings just made sense.

But after a few months, without him even noticing, all of his health problems were gone, completely gone, and they never came back.

Cui said, “That was a miracle, a miracle that even modern science cannot explain.”

After the persecution of Falun Gong began, one of his relatives didn't understand why he refused to renounce Falun Gong. The relative said, “Making money is real. With money, you can buy fancy medicine for your ailments.”

Cui laughed, “I've tried all the so-called 'fancy' drugs. No medicine could ever relieve me of my pain. I have been healthy over the last decade due to practicing Falun Gong. I didn't take any medicine, and I haven't had any pain. Could money ever buy that?”

Liu Xinnian: Health Problems Led to Early Retirement

Mr. Liu Xinnian was born on January 15, 1952, and served as a battalion commander in the army in Qinghai Province in the 1980s before his retirement.

From working in the highlands over a long period of time, he ended up with high altitude heart disease, a hiatal hernia, and an ulcer. The army retired him due to his health problems.

From 1985 until 1997, he often had chest pains. He was hospitalized three times, and everyone where he worked knew that he was in poor health.

In October 1997, Mr. Liu began practicing Falun Gong, and amazing things quickly happened. His ailments disappeared and he gained weight, going from130 to170 pounds. He felt great both physically and spiritually by following Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance.

His friends and co-workers were amazed by the healing power of Falun Gong, and many of them started to practice.

Following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance in his daily life and at work, Liu won several “model employee” awards. His co-workers praised him as “honest and very reliable.”

Background

Falun Gong was first taught to the public in 1992. Nearly 100 million people across China were soon practicing it due to its reputation for improving health and spiritual wellbeing. Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline's growing popularity as a threat to the CCP's atheistic ideology and issued an order to ban Falun Gong on July 20, 1999.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of Falun Gong practitioners in the persecution over the past 18 years; the actual number is suspected to be much higher. More have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith. Evidence shows that the CCP harvests organs from detained practitioners, who are killed in the process, to supply the organ transplant industry.

Under Jiang's personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Gong.
