Salaries of Handan Falun Gong Practitioners Illegally Suspended

April 07, 2018 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Hebei Province, China

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners Zhang Junliang and He Jianjun have been deprived of their salaries for 16 months because they filed complaints against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the CCP, for persecuting Falun Gong. Starting in December 2016, the Shexian County Education Bureau in Handan City began withholding the salaries of these practitioners.

During this period Mr. He Jianjun's father, who was terminally ill, was hospitalized six times, and passed away before Chinese New Year in 2018. Without a salary, Mr. He was unable to help his father with medical bills. He also has two children, one in college and one in junior high. His wife divorced him because she found the situation too stressful.

The managers of Shexian County Education Bureau, led by Director Chen Wangsheng and Office Director Yang Baofang, tried to force Mr. He into giving up his belief in Falun Gong. They issued an administrative penalty statement to Mr. He for suing Jiang Zemin.

Mr. He refused to sign the statement. As Zhang Binghe, principal of the She County Second Middle School, handed the statement to Mr. He, Yang Baofang grabbed it after Mr. He said, “This statement is evidence of your crime.”

Falun Gong practitioners have been telling the managers the facts about Falun Gong, but the group not only refused to listen. Instead, they extended the salary suspension from 3 months to 16 months. There is no sign that the penalties will stop soon. Yang Baofang stated that the 16 months of salaries will not be refunded in the future.

Mr. He appealed to the highest Appeals Office, but this resulted in his appeal being returned to the local office.
