Additional Persecution News from China – March 27, 2018 (24 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 12 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 25 were illegally arrested.

1. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Seven Practitioners Detained

Mr. Ding Qiang, Mr. Hu Mingyou, Mr. Xu, Mr. Feng, Ms. He Lihong, Ms. Li Li, and Ms. Ma Jie were arrested and taken to the Wujiapu Police Station, after they did the Falun Gong exercises together on the evening of March 22, 2018. They were detained for 15 days and extorted 1,000 yuan.

2. [Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Shufen Given a One-Year Prison Term

Ms. Xu Shufen, 72, from the Nuanshuitun area, was arrested by the local police on October 15, 2017. She was given a one-year prison term by the court on February 1, 2018. She is still held in the Yaojia Detention Center.

3. [Linshu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Ruhong Given a One-Year-and-Six-Month Prison Term

Mr. Li Ruhong from Zhucang Town was arrested on June 6, 2017. The police ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and a computer. Mr. Li was held in a detention center. He was recently given a one-year-and-six-month prison term.

4. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Chuanru Arrested

Ms. Wu Chuanru was arrested by officers from the Jiangyuan District Police Station and the Zhazi Police Station on March 22, 2018.

5. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Six Practitioners Detained

Ms. Liu Yujie, Ms. Bing Shurong, Ms. Xu Yanhong, Ms. Liang Fengchun, and Ms. Deng were arrested by officers from the Yanji City Domestic Security Division between October 18 and October 21, 2017. They were taken to the Yanji City Police Department and held in custody for three to five days. They were released.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiuchan Arrested

Ms. Wang Xiuchan from Yuanyang New Village was arrested by officers from the Badahu Police Station on the afternoon of March 25, 2018.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Yujiao Arrested

Ms. Li Yujiao, 65, was arrested by officers from the Badahu Police Station on the afternoon of March 19, 2018. She was taken to Pudong.

8. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Chengfen Detained

Ms. Yu Chengfen from Fushan District was arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong in Shibei District on March 3, 2018. She was held in the Qingdao City Detention Center.

9. [Yuncheng County, Shandong Province] Ms. Fan Zhenyan Taken to Prison

Ms. Fan Zhenyan was arrested in October 2016. She was held in the Heze Detention Center. She was tried on April 18, 2017. It was not until March 6, 2018 that her family learned that she was taken to the Jinan Women's Prison.

10. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Chang Liuxi Detained

Mr. Chang Liuxi was arrested by officers from the Luoyang City Police Department, the Jili District Domestic Security Division, and Jili District Police Station on October 5, 2017. The officers ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, a computer, and a cell phone. Mr. Chang has been held in the National Highway 310 Detention Center.

11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Hu Yanfang Arrested

Ms. Hu Yanfang was arrested around March 15, 2018.

12. [Ningxiang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Xie Xinfu Detained

Mr. Xie Xinfu, from Taiping Village, Yujia'ao Township, was arrested by officers from the Huishangang Town Police Station while he was distributing informational materials about Falun Gong and talking to people about the practice in Huishangang Town, Taojiang County on March 11, 2018. Mr. Xie was placed in criminal detention at the Taojiang County Detention Center.

13. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Li Arrested

Ms. Liu Li was arrested by officers from the Fanjianglu Police Station on March 24, 2018 for talking to people about Falun Gong.

14. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Xiumei and Ms. Liu Detained

Ms. Li Xiumei and Ms. Liu were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of March 12, 2018. They were arrested and their homes were ransacked by officers from the Jinxiang Police Station. Both practitioners are held in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center.

15. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Xiuyun Given a Four-Year Prison Term

The Jinzhou Intermediate Court upheld Ms. Xu Xiuyun's original verdict without a hearing on March 21, 2018. She was given a four-year prison term during the first trial.

16. [Beijing] Mr. Li Zhenge Detained

Mr. Li Zhenge, from Liubinpu Village, Yanqing District, was reported for distributing Falun Gong materials in Haidian District on March 14, 2018. He was arrested by officers from the Yongdinglu Police Station. The officers confiscated his cell phone, MP3, and Falun Gong books. Mr. Li was held in the Haidian District Detention Center.

17. [Pingquan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xiaowen Arrested

Ms. Liu Xiaowen from Wolong Town was arrested at the Shijiazhuang Train Station by railway police on March 1, 2018. The police confiscated her ID card and Falun Gong materials.

18. [Yu County, Hebei Province] Ms. Jin Hua Arrested

Ms. Jin Hua was arrested on March 22, 2018.

19. [Pingyuan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Jinhua Arrested

Ms. Wang Jinhua was arrested by officers from the Pingyuan County Domestic Security Division and the Longmen Police Station on March 5, 2018. She was taken to a detention center. The detention center refused to admit her due to her high blood pressure. She was brought back home by her family. The officers confiscated her ID card and a copy of Zhuan Falun.

20. [Huimin County, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xinzhong Given a Two-Year Prison Term

Mr. Wang Xinzhong was arrested by officers from the Huimin County Domestic Security Division on July 1, 2017. He was given a two-year prison term.

21. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiuchan Detained

Ms. Wang Xiuchan was arrested by officers from the Badahu Police Station on March 25, 2018. She was taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

22. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yu Zhen and Ms. Li Arrested

Ms. Yu Zhen and Ms. Li were arrested by officers from the Qidushihua Police Department on the evening of March 24, 2018. She was held in the police department.

23. [Datong City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Shi Shuangxi and Ms. Jing Detained

Mr. Shi Shuangxi, 66, and Ms. Jing, 64, were arrested by officers from the Datong City Police Department on the evening of March 22, 2018. The officers confiscated their Falun Gong materials. Both practitioners are held in the Chenzhuang Detention Center.

24. [Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Cao Maoju and Mr. Jian Guilin from Yongquan Township were arrested by officers from the Yongquan Township Police Station when they were talking to people about Falun Gong on the afternoon of March 21, 2018. Their homes were ransacked.

Mr. Liu Zengbao and Ms. Tong Jinping were also arrested by police that evening.

Ms. Cao, Ms. Tong, and Mr. Jian were released. Mr. Liu remains in detention.
