1. [Shanghai] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wu Xindu, Ms. Cao Lingmei, and Ms. Jiang Fengqun from Pudong New Area were arrested by plainclothes officers on the afternoon of January 14, 2018, for telling people about Falun Gong. Mr. Wu and Ms. Jiang were released that day. Ms. Cao was taken to the Pudong New Area Detention Center.

2. [Changchun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Che Pingping Detained

Ms. Che Pingping from Weizigou Town was arrested by officers from the Dongcheng Police Station on January 26, 2018. She is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center for 15 days.

3. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Liyan and Ms. Zhang Shuxia Detained

Ms. Li Liyan and Ms. Zhang Shuxia from the Hongguang Farm, Qianguo County, were arrested by officers from the Changlong Police Station on January 25, 2018, for telling people about Falun Gong at the Changlong farmers market. They are being held in the Guaibodian Detention Center for 15 days.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Shiying and Children Detained

Ms. Sun Shiying, her daughter Ms. Wang Hongyan, and her son Mr. Wang Hongyan were arrested by officers from the Kuancheng District Police Department and the Nong'an County Domestic Security Division as a result of their allowing Ms. Lu Yongzhen to stay in their home. Ms. Lu is in her sixties, and was just released after spending nine years in prison for her belief in Falun Gong. Ms. Sun and her daughter were held in the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center. Her son was held in the Changchun City No. 1 Detention Center.

Ms. Zheng Caiqin was sentenced to a five-year prison term by the Wangdu Court on December 19, 2017 after being held in the Baoding Detention Center for six months. She is currently being held in the Shijiazhuang Women's Prison. Family visits have been denied.

Ms. Guo Guihua, Ms. Yang Yihua, Mr. Wang Shixiang, and Mr. Liu Bao were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on January 25, 2018. They were arrested by officers from the Xicheng Police Station, and taken to detention centers for 15 days of detention. Mr. Liu was held in the Yangyuan County Detention Center. The other three practitioners were taken to the Zhangjiakou City Detention Center. Mr. Wang was released because he failed the physical exam.
