(Minghui.org) I run a hair salon, and it has become a place where people talk about Falun Dafa and the persecution.
I don't charge much and I treat everyone the same, regardless of their job or financial status. When some customers bargain on the price, I still provide the same service while charging them less. Some want to pay more, but I kindly refuse. I have gained the trust of my customers, and they recommend me to their friends and relatives.
While my clients are waiting to be served, I suggest that they read the Falun Dafa books I provide. Sometimes I show them videos about Falun Dafa.
One customer was surprised to see that Falun Dafa is practiced around the world, and that China is the only country that bans it. She told her husband when she got home, and they returned in the afternoon to pick up the DVD I had. They shared the DVD with their friends, and their positive attitude towards Dafa brought them blessings. Their own business has blossomed ever since, and now they own a building materials company and a hotel.
Mr. Chen came for a haircut one morning, but forgot to bring money. He had traveled far and had not had breakfast, so I bought breakfast for him. He was very touched.
My business shares the same water source with the restaurant next door. They are very busy, so I often fetch water for them.
Other hairdressers rarely take on apprentices. I have trained several apprentices. I didn't charge them any tuition, and provided them with room and board, and paid a stipend.
The apprentices learned about Dafa and the persecution, and some read the Falun Dafa books. When they returned home, they told other villagers what they had learned.
When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) put up banners offering a reward to those who turned Dafa practitioners in to the authorities, my apprentices took the banners down.
Mr. Qiu collects the utility fees from the local supermarket. Back in 2003, he discovered that the supermarket was stealing electricity, so he left the electricity meter in my shop. When my husband got arrested for talking to people about Falun Dafa in 2004, Mr. Qiu stood in front of a crowd and said that we are good people. He told the police, βHe has elderly parents and young ones at home. They are a good family. I hope you can release him soon!β
I began to show NTD television programs at my shop before 2008 and the customers enjoyed watching them. They compared NTD's programs to the CCP's programs, and figured out what CCP propaganda was. Someone came to look for practitioners a few days before the Olympic games. A tea shop owner said that there were no practitioners around, and protected me from being arrested.
I opened a hair salon at my original residence in 2009. The place was owned by the village mayor. He tried to protect me after he learned about Falun Dafa and the persecution. When the CCP spread lies that practitioners injected themselves with drugs, a customer came by one morning and said, βI know you don't inject drugs. You are such a good person.β
I ask Master every day to bring predestined people to my shop. Those who know that Falun Dafa is good often tell others about it. They then become concerned about my safety and end up protecting me. They treat me like one of their family.
