(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 11 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 12 were illegally arrested.

1. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Wu Tuanmei Detained

Ms. Wu Tuanmei was arrested at her home by Naiman Banner Police Department officers on September 9, 2018. Her home was ransacked and Falun Dafa books and printed materials were confiscated. Ms. Wu is being held in the Tongliao Detention Center.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Guo Dongxiang Appeals Sentence

Ms. Guo Dongxiang was tried in the Chaoyang District Court on April 19, 2018. She was sentenced to an 18-month prison term and fined 3,000 yuan on August 29.

Ms. Guo has appealed to the Beijing City No. 3 Intermediate Court.

3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiao Shuxian Taken Into Custody

Ms. Jiao Shuxian from the Miyun District in Beijing was reported to the authorities when she was talking to people about Falun Gong near her daughter's home in Chengdu City. She was arrested and held in custody by the Chengdu police.

4. [Helong City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Yushu and His Wife Ms. Cui Detained

Mr. Yang Yushu and his wife Ms. Cui were arrested. Mr. Yang is being held in the Helong City Detention Center. His family is not allowed to visit him. Ms. Cui is being held in the Longjing City Detention Center.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Xiuli Detained

Ms. Zhang Xiuli from Yingjun Town in the Erdao District was arrested at work by Yuanda Police Station officers on September 11, 2018. She was taken to the Yingjun Police Station, where she was forced to answer questions regarding her filing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party.

Ms. Zhang was later taken to the Yuanda Police Station. The officers took written notes when they interrogated her. They also took her fingerprints and photos of her.

Ms. Zhang was taken to a hospital to check her heart and blood pressure. She was then taken to the Weizigou Detention Center for ten days.

Ms. Zhang returned home on September 21.

6. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Yujie Detained

Ms. Zhang Yujie was arrested on September 21, 2018, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was taken directly to a detention center. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

7. [Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Mr. Huang Yunlong Facing Trial

Mr. Huang Yunlong was arrested on May 10, 2018. He was held in the Shizuishan City No. 1 Detention Center, where he was mistreated. He developed serious illness symptoms. There was blood in his urine, and he could not eat. He was in critical condition.

Mr. Huang was taken to a hospital and was found to be suffering from two types of cancer. The police department called Mr. Huang's family to apply for medical parole for him. Mr. Huang returned home at the end of July.

Dawukou District Court staff notified Mr. Huang in early September that he would soon be tried.

8. [Yishui City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Xingli and Ms. Cai Honghua Taken Into Custody

Mr. Sun Xingli, 68, a retired piano teacher, was taken to the Jinan Prison on September 12, 2018.

Ms. Cai Honghua was arrested at home by officer Ying Youliang and others from the Longjiaquan Police Station on the morning of September 18, 2018. She was taken to the Linyi City Detention Center.

9. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Shuling Detained

Ms. Liu Shuling was arrested on September 5, 2018. The police ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Liu was detained for 15 days.

10. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Shuru and Ms. Wang Chunrong Arrested

Ms. Zhou Shuru from Jing County and Ms. Wang Chunrong from Fucheng County were reported to the authorizes for distributing Falun Gong materials on the evening of September 21, 2018. Both were arrested by Jing County Police Department officers.

11. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhu Qiuhua and Mr. Shen Jinyou Arrested

Ms. Zhu Qiuhua and Mr. Shen Jinyou were reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of September 18, 2018. They were arrested by Zhoumensi Police Station officers.

Mr. Shen was brought back by Yanquanlu Police Station officers in the Beihu District. Ms. Zhu's whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Chishui City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Lin Junying Arrested

Ms. Lin Junying was arrested on the morning of September 17, 2018.

13. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Shen Zhongqin Arrested

Ms. Shen Zhongqin, 63, from the Shenhe District, was arrested by director Li and other officers from the Huishan Police Station on the morning of September 22, 2018. Li and five other officers ransacked Ms. Shen's home that afternoon.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Li Taken to Prison

Ms. Wang Li from the Dadong District was sentenced to an eight-year prison term three years ago. She developed serious heart problems and her blood pressure was extremely high. She was released on medical parole.

Ms. Wang was arrested again on September 12, 2018, and taken to a detention center. The authorities there refused to accept her because she had high blood pressure. The police then took her to Liaoning Province Women's Prison.

15. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Song Wanwan and Her Husband Beaten

Ms. Song Wanwan was arrested by officer Liu Xiangfei and others from the Liquan County Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of August 24, 2018. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, an MP3 player, and printed materials.

She were taken to the Liquan Police Department and handcuffed. She also had 4,000 yuan extorted from her.

Ms. Song and her husband, who does not practice Falun Dafa, were beaten by the police. The couple have since returned home.

16. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Taken to Prison

Ms. Mao Shufen, Ms. Ma Guizhen, and Ms. Ma Cuizhi had been detained for over a year. Their families were notified on April 24, 2018, that Ms. Mao had been sentenced to a four-year prison term, Ms. Ma Guizhen to a three-and-a-half-year term, and Ms. Ma Cuizhi to a three-year term.

They were taken to the Harbin Women's Prison on August 29 and are being held in the No. 11 Ward.
