Jan. 13, 2018 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Jiangsu Province, China

(Minghui.org) Four more residents of Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province, were sentenced to prison in December for refusing to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.

With 11 such cases already reported, this brings the total number of local Falun Gong practitioners convicted for their faith in recent months to 15.

The four additional practitioners were all convicted in late December 2017. The Nanjing City Intermediate Court turned down their appeals without holding a hearing, even though that is what the law requires.

Ms. Wang Zhaozhu was arrested on March 30, 2017, and sentenced to 8 years and fined 50,000 yuan.

Mr. Xiao Wuqun was arrested on October 20, 2016, and sentenced to 4 years and fined 20,000 yuan.

Mr. Chen Tong, in his 20s, was sentenced to 2 years.

Ms. Guan Xiulan, 64, was arrested in July 2016. Her term remains to be investigated.
