July 18, 2017 |   By a Minghui correspondent in Shandong Province

(Minghui.org) A resident in Qingdao City was released on July 13, 2017, after the local Huangdao District Procuratorate declined to issue a formal arrest warrant.

Mr. Xing Zhigang was arrested together with his son, Mr. Xing Haodong, on June 6, 2017. They were targeted because they refused to renounce Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.

Police searched their home and confiscated their computer, printer, and Falun Gong materials.

The younger Mr. Xing was released the next day, while his father was held at Pudong Detention Center for more than one month.

Ms. Zhao Renxia, who is also a Falun Gong practitioner, is currently living away from home to avoid the same fate as her husband and son.
