(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces. According to this report, 6 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 20 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Mr. Gao Weiping Detained

Mr. Gao Weiping was arrested on February 9, 2017. He is being held in the Dongcheng District Detention Center.

2. [Beijing] Three Practitioners’ Original Sentences Upheld

Ms. Yue Guixia, Ms. Zhang Lanzhi, and Ms. Liu Fenghua from the Pinggu District were sentenced to prison in the Pinggu District Court on November 4, 2016. The practitioners appealed to the Beijing Intermediate Court, which upheld the original sentences.

At the end of January, Ms. Yue was taken to Weiyonglu No. 12 Prison in the Daxing District, Ms. Zhang was taken to Qingfenglu No. 9 Prison in the Tiantanghe area, and Ms. Liu was taken to the No. 2 Daxing Women's Prison.

3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Haiying Detained

Ms. Liu Haiying, 37, was followed and arrested on February 19, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She is being held in the Pi County Detention Center.

4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhu Xinhe and Mr. Zhang Shouying Arrested

Mr. Zhu Xinhe and Mr. Zhang Shouying from the Luocheng Neighborhood were arrested for posting Falun Gong materials on the afternoon of January 22, 2017. Their homes were ransacked. Both practitioners were released the following afternoon.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Officers from the Zhaoyuan City 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division broke into Ms. Chi Tongxin's home in Qiujia Village, Daqinjia Town, on the morning of March 7, 2017. They arrested Ms. Chi Tongxin, Ms. Chi Tongyun, Ms. Bu Guizhen, Mr. Qin Baoxiang, Ms. Lu, and Mr. Wang Junhua. The officers confiscated computers, printers, and Falun Gong books.

6. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Tianliu Given a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Yang Tianliu was tried at the Changsha County Court on February 22, 2017. She was sentenced to three years in prison. She has appealed.

7. [Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province] Several Practitioners Arrested

Twelve practitioners from Longhai City were spotted by the Longhai Police Department's computer monitors when they wrote “Falun Dafa is Good!” in Ziyun Park in Shima Town on the morning of January 28, 2017. Mr. Zheng Acai was interrogated by domestic security officers the next day. Ms. Hu Shuzhi was interrogated by officers from the Yancuo Town Police Station in Longhai City at noon on February 21, 2017.

On February 23, heavily armed riot police dispatched from the Longhai Police Department arrested Mr. Zheng Yaqu, Ms. Zheng Yuqin, Mr. Zheng Shengbao, Mr. Yan Shuineng, and a female practitioner named Daohua.

On February 28, Mr. Zheng Huiqing was arrested.

8. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Dai Ping, Ms. Liu Cuimei, Ms. Tang Shuyun, and Ms. Cai Guiyan from Jinzhou Development Zone were arrested in the Qilihe area by Xingshan Police Station officers on the morning of March 3, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The four practitioners are being held in the Jinzhou Detention Center. No family visits have been allowed.
