(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 18 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 32 were illegally arrested.

1. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Hongxia Detained

Ms. Zhang Hongxia from Ping'an Town was arrested at a checkpoint on October 15, 2017. She was identified as a Falun Gong practitioner, as such information, when known, is recorded on a citizen's identification card.

Ms. Zhang is being held in the Xiaobaishan area.

2. [Liquan County, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Chen Liang and Mr. Chen Tianjian Arrested

Wang Liming and three other officers from the Jianling Police Station went to Mr. Yuan Huiwu's home on October 16, 2017. Mr. Yuan was not home at the time, so they went to the nearby homes of Mr. Chen Liang and Mr. Chen Tianjian, and arrested them.

3. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Abused in Jiazhou Prison

Mr. Ming Shaolin from Nanchong City is being held in the No. 1 Ward of Jiazhou Prison. He was beaten and injected with unknown drugs, which caused heart failure.

Mr. Zhao Naiqian is being held in the No. 2 Ward. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for practicing Falun Gong.

Mr. Chen Zhaozhong, a family member of a practitioner, was held in the No. 2 Ward. He passed away as a result of torture.

4. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Sun Jingsen Detained

Mr. Sun Jingsen, 52, was arrested by officers from the Beishan Police Station on October 18, 2017, for filing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime. He was taken to the Jilin Detention Center for five days of detention.

Mr. Jia Ye was taken to the Xinhe Brainwashing Center in the Baqiao District of Xi'an City.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Xia Baohua Arrested

Mr. Xia Baohua was arrested by officers from the Rongguang Police Station on October 17, 2017.

7. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wen Xiuhua Detained

Ms. Wen Xiuhua was arrested at home by Gao Wei and four other officers from the Tiedong Domestic Security Division on October 12, 2017. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated copies of Minghui Weekly, Falun Gong brochures, and photos of, and books by, the founder of Falun Gong.

Ms. Wen was taken to the Siping Detention Center.

8. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Yunchong and His Wife Ms. Zhao Huayu Arrested

Mr. Wang Yunchong and his wife Ms. Zhao Huayu were working on odd jobs in Penglai City. Their family members called them many times but nobody answered. They later found out that Mr. Wang and Ms. Zhao had been arrested and taken to the Jinshatan Police Station.

9. [Zhuanghe City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Shufen Detained

Ms. Xu Shufen, 74, from the Nuanshuitun area was arrested by officers from the Xinhua Police Station on October 15, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

Ms. Xu was taken to the Yaojia Detention Center.

10. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Hou Yan and Her Family Detained

Ms. Hou Yan from the Ranghulu District was taken to the Harbin No. 1 Detention Center. Her mother was taken to the Harbin No. 2 Detention Center. Her elder brother was taken to the Shangzhi Detention Center. Their homes were ransacked.

11. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

A group of people broke into Ms. Jiang Xiaoli's home on the evening of October 16, 2017. They refused to identify themselves and arrested Ms. Jiang, her daughter, Ms. Lin, and Mr. Chu. The practitioners' homes were ransacked.

The four practitioners were taken to the Shibei District Case Review Center.

It was later found out that those making the arrests were officers from the Shibei District Police Department and the Hexi Police Station.

Ms. Su Guihua, in her 70s, from the Shibei District, and about eight other practitioners were arrested at Ms. Su's home on October 16, 2017, by officers from the Dagang Police Station.

Ms. Yin Delan, her husband Mr. Wang Mingde, Mr. Zhuang, Ms. Sun Dongxia, and Mr. Gong Piqi were arrested at Ms. Yin's home by officers from the Ruichanglu Police Station on October 16, 2017.

Mr. Zhuang and Ms. Sun were released, while Ms. Yin, Mr. Wang, and Mr. Gong were taken to the Pudong Detention Center.

Ms. Song Xiaofang was arrested at work by officers from the Changle County Domestic Security Division on the morning of October 17, 2017. Her elder sister Ms. Song Qin, in her 40s, has been missing since October 16.

Mr. Li Jintang from the Xinjiazhuang area has been missing since the evening of October 17, 2017. His family went to his home and found that it had been ransacked, and his printer and Falun Gong books were missing.

Ms. Liu Wenhao, Ms. Sun Guiqin, and Ms. Li were arrested by officers from the Dengzhoulu Police Station on October 17, 2017. The practitioners were taken to the Pudong Detention Center the following day.

18. [Beijing] Ms. Cai Yulan Arrested; Ms. Zhao Caixia's Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Cai Yulan, in her 70s, and Ms. Zhao Caixia, in her 60s, were arrested by officers from the Andingmenwai Police Station on October 10, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

Ms. Cai was released on bail pending trial, as she is the caregiver for her 90-year-old mother. Ms. Zhao's whereabouts are unknown.

19. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhu Bin Tortured

Mr. Zhu Bin, a teacher at the Zhuanglang County No. 1 Middle School, was arrested at a train station in Lanzhou City on September 30, 2017.

Police at the train station searched his bag and confiscated a music player with Falun Gong music and Fa lectures on it. They also found a video of the Self-Immolation Hoax on Tiananmen Square on his cell phone.

Mr. Zhu was taken to the Zhuanglang County Police Station, where he was tortured on a tiger bench for the entire night.

His home was ransacked on the morning of October 1, and his Falun Gong books were confiscated.

20. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Guilan Taken to Prison

Ms. Xu Guilan, 67, was taken to the Liaoning Women's Prison on September 26, 2017.

21. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Fengyun Arrested

Ms. Xu Fengyun and her five sisters took a tourist bus from Changchun City to Dalian City on October 14, 2017. The bus was stopped and the police checked passengers' identification cards. Ms. Xu was arrested, as her electronic ID card indicated that she is a Falun Gong practitioner.

Liu Qiang and two other officers from the Mengjia Police Station in the Chaoyang District took Ms. Xu to a local police station.

22. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Ms. Xiao Detained

Ms. Xiao from Gaojiawopu Village, Xinhui Town, Aohan Banner, was arrested by officers from the Chengjiao Police Station in Xinhui Town on the morning of October 17, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong brochures.

Ms. Xiao was taken to the Aohan Banner Police Department's Detention Center.

The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books.

Ms. Tang Suqing was arrested by officers from the Sanshijiazi Police Station on October 16, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.
