Ms. Si Qin from Yuanbao District was arrested by officers from the Yuanbao District Domestic Security Division at noon on January 6, 2017.

2. [Aohan Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Several Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yuan and several other practitioners from Shiqiaozi Village, Jinchanggouliang Town were arrested by officers from the Jinchanggouliang Town Police Station when they were having a meeting on the afternoon of January 6, 2017.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Mao Fenglan Given a Six-Year Prison Term

Ms. Mao Fenglan from the Chaoyang District was arrested by officers from the Chaoyang Police Department on July 21, 2016. She was tried and sentenced to six years in prison on December 26, 2016.

4. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Song Lijun Arrested

Mr. Song Lijun was arrested by officers from the Qingshan Township Police Station on January 1, 2017 for posting Falun Gong materials in Dayushu Village, Qingshan Township.

5. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhao Yujing, Ms. Wang Yulan, and Ms. Li Xiangyun were arrested on January 5, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong in Xianfeng Township. They were taken into custody for 10 days.

6. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cui Yanqin Arrested

Ms. Cui Yanqin was arrested by officers from the Weifang City Domestic Security Division on the morning of November 30, 2016 for mailing Falun Gong materials to Wang Ruoshui, chief of the Weifang City Police Department. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books, materials, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

7. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhou Yuhua Detained

Ms. Zhou Yuhua, 62, from Liuhe District, was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Chajian Police Station, Chuzhou City on December 4, 2016 for distributing Falun Gong informational booklets.

8. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Haisheng and Wife Ms. Wang Xiuqian Arrested

Mr. Wang Haisheng went to pick up his wife Ms. Wang Xiuxian, who just got off work, on the afternoon of January 3, 2017. The couple was arrested on their way back by officers from the Tang County Police Department. Their home was ransacked.

9. [Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Xinji Given a Six-Month Prison Term

Mr. Li Xinji was tried by the Diaobingshan Court on December 15, 2016. He was sentenced to six months in prison on January 3, 2017.

10. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Zhang Guangyuan, Mr. Gao Hongbo, and Mr. Zhang Weihua from the Lingshan area, Lishan District, were arrested and their homes were ransacked by Wang Hui and other officers from the Senbei Police Station on the morning of January 3, 2017 for handing out calendars containing Falun Gong information. The three practitioners are held in the Anshan City No. 1 Detention Center.

11. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Haijun Taken to Hulan Prison

Mr. Zhao Haijun from Shuangcheng District was tried for a second time on January 4, 2017. The court upheld the verdict from the first trial, which was a prison term of eight years. Mr. Zhao is held in Hulan Prison.

12. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ning Shuxian and Ms. Ni Chunyan Detained

Ms. Ning Shuxian, in her 60s, and Ms. Ni Chunyan, in her 50s, were arrested by officers from the Dongcheng Police Station on the morning of January 5, 2017 for talking to people about Falun Gong in the Lantun Textile Mill. Both practitioners were taken to Harbin City for 10 days of detention.

13. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhai Guiqin and Mr. Qian Chunchang Arrested

Ms. Zhai Guiqin and Mr. Qian Chunchang from Xingkaihu Farm, Mudanjiang Reclamation Bureau, were arrested and taken to a hospital by Shi Yanjie, a member of the Xingkaihu Farm Comprehensive Management Office, on January 1, 2017 for hanging Falun Gong informational banners. Mr. Qian was fined 1,000 yuan in order to be released and go home. Ms. Zhai was taken to the Lianzhushan Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

14. [Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Li, Mr. Zhang Yajie, Ms. Zhang Shuping, Mr. Huang Licheng, Mr. Yu Changwen, Ms. Liu Shufang, Ms. Liu Guofeng, and another female practitioner named Xiaofangzi were arrested on the evening of January 5, 2017 for distributing Falun Gong materials in Changjiang Township.
