(Minghui.org) As more practitioners step forward to exercise their constitutional rights to demand justice, notably in suing former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Jiang Zemin, they run the risk of harassment and detention.

Ms. Kang Lijun from Huangcun Town in the Daxing District of Beijing was illegally arrested and had her home ransacked by the police on October 27, 2015. Ms. Li Guanglan from the Daxing District was arrested on November 6, 2015. They were both arrested for suing former CCP dictator Jiang Zemin for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners.

The women have been held in the Daxing Detention Center for over eight months. Ms. Li Guanglan's case was returned to the police by the Daxing District Procuratorate for insufficient evidence. Ms. Kang Lijun was tried in the Daxing District Court on April 14, 2016, and is awaiting sentencing.
