(Minghui.org) “My older daughter was getting ready for school when the police barged into our house and yanked off her backpack. An officer next snatched my then-17-month-old younger daughter from my arm. They dragged me out to their police van, not even allowing me to put on my shoes. Even today, my daughters tremble at the sight of officers in uniform.”
Above is an excerpt from Ms. Cai Rong's criminal complaint against former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for launching the persecution of Falun Gong, which resulted in her repeated arrests and torture.
The factory worker from Jiamusi City was first arrested in 2002 when she was readying her older daughter for school. She was soon given two years of forced labor for refusing to give up her faith in Falun Gong. The guards at Xigemu Labor Camp tortured her on a regular basis, causing severe physical and mental damage to her.
By the time she was released, she had trouble moving her arms, and was suffering from unbearable back pain. It hurt so much that it often took her more than 40 minutes to just get out of bed.
Four years after her release, she was arrested again and given one year of forced labor.
During her labor camp terms, the police extorted a total of more than 200,000 yuan from her family. As her husband struggled to make ends meet, her daughters quit school to do odd jobs to help support the family.

In 1999, Jiang Zemin, as head of the Chinese Communist Party, overrode other Politburo standing committee members and launched the violent suppression of Falun Gong.
The persecution has led to the deaths of many Falun Gong practitioners in the past 16 years. More have been tortured for their belief and even killed for their organs. Jiang Zemin is directly responsible for the inception and continuation of the brutal persecution.
Under his personal direction, the Chinese Communist Party established an extralegal security organ, the “610 Office,” on June 10, 1999. The organization overrides police forces and the judicial system in carrying out Jiang's directive regarding Falun Gong: to ruin their reputations, cut off their financial resources, and destroy them physically.
Chinese law allows for citizens to be plaintiffs in criminal cases, and many practitioners are now exercising that right to file criminal complaints against the former dictator.
