“What News Are You Bringing Today?”

March 08, 2016 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) I have reached a deeper understanding recently: Our jobs are not only for us to make a living for our families. Rather, they are for the purpose of validating Dafa and making use of various opportunities and environments for telling people about Falun Gong.

I am a salesperson. Over the years, my job has provided me with many opportunities to make contact with colleagues, clients, and customers. I have used these opportunities to explain Falun Gong and the persecution to people. Here I will share some of my experiences.

“Hi, Falun Gong, What News Do You Have Today?”

I had a job dealing with pharmacies on a daily basis. In the course of doing the work, I explained Falun Gong and the persecution to many predestined people.

One pharmacy owner was a very straightforward person, and I had explained the facts about Falun Gong to her years before. After she came to understand Falun Gong, she often directly called me “Falun Gong” in front of other people or during telephone conversations. As soon as I entered her pharmacy, she often called out, “Hi, Falun Gong, what news do you bring today?"

Many people went to her pharmacy to buy medicine. At the beginning, when she called me “Falun Gong,” I felt somewhat nervous because the persecution was still so severe in China, and I was not familiar with her pharmacy's customers. I later came to understand that she was providing me with more opportunities to tell people about Falun Gong.

When clarifying the truth in this type of setting, I generally spoke first about current events in China that people were concerned about. I would then go on to explain Falun Gong and the persecution to the owner and her salespeople. I noticed that the customers who were seemingly choosing their medicine were also carefully listening to me talk.

This kind of situation has happened many times. Some pharmacy owners or their salespeople who had already heard my explanation of Falun Gong and the persecution sometimes took the initiative to ask more questions about Falun Gong. Sometimes they seemed not to understand Falun Gong, and would ask me “simple” questions. I did not miss these opportunities, and I would explain to them again with a clear voice so that all the people in the pharmacy could listen. On several occasions, I used my strongest voice to make sure everyone could hear. Sometimes after I finished talking, I found that my voice had turned husky.

I later came to understand that these people were cooperating with me to raise awareness of Falun Gong and the persecution.

"You Are Telling Them About the Dharma and the Dao!"

I like to create a relaxed atmosphere to tell people about Falun Gong. As long as time permits, I start by talking about things that people are interested in and then continue on to content about Falun Gong. As I explained the facts about Falun Gong to salespeople, they often became totally absorbed in what I was saying.

The business in one pharmacy was somewhat slow one day. As such, several salespeople had gathered around to listen to my “story telling.” They also asked me some questions. I answered their questions one by one. An elderly doctor of traditional Chinese medicine was sitting in the pharmacy. He looked at us with a smile.

When I finished speaking, he said to me, “You are telling them about the Dharma and the Dao!” Perhaps the doctor was making an analogy, but when Falun Gong practitioners talk to people about what's taking place in the world, what they are doing is magnificent. Falun Gong will indeed bestow good futures on the lives that come to understand that “Falun Gong is Good!”

"Taking This Class Is Better Than Reading Ten Years Worth of Books!"

I took a job once as an in-house trainer at a company. I had to train new employees and sales personnel for their jobs and to increase their product knowledge. Interestingly, I was free to make most of the training materials from Dafa websites and from Minghui Weekly. I organized the materials so they were rich in content and contained many pictures.

The contents conveyed pure energy and information, and they were full of wisdom and kindness. When I projected the slides for the staff in the training classes and told them some stories about people aligning with goodness, they were stunned and came to understand many principles. A person said to me after the class, “Taking this class is better than studying ten years worth of books!"

It seems that the training materials helped clear the poison of Party culture and atheism from their minds. This made it much easier for me to explain Falun Gong and the persecution to them later. I also always tried to find opportunities to speak with them after the classes. I would invite them to meals, for example, to further explain Falun Gong and the persecution and advise them to quit Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations.

These efforts were very good. Basically, everyone I talked with took my advice and quit the CCP. Sometimes, everyone at the table quit the CCP together. What's more is that no one showed resistance or tried to stop me from speaking about Dafa.
