(Minghui.org) The peaceful resistance to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong advanced to a new stage when more than 100,000 Chinese people courageously filed criminal complaints against the former Chinese Communist Party leader, Jiang Zemin, who is responsible for initiating and perpetuating the persecution. Recent rallies and a parade in Tokyo and Osaka raised public awareness about the surge of lawsuits.

“For more than a decade, the Falun Gong practitioners have been telling the truth of the persecution,” said Mr. Hirosato Nakatsugawa, former member of the House of Representatives of Japan, “More and more Japanese are concerned about the persecution and have expressed their support for the peaceful resistance.”
He also promised to continue his support for Falun Gong and the lawsuits against Jiang Zemin.

City Council Member of Tokyo Mr. Toshiaki Koga and Mr. Yifan Xia, chairman of Democratic China in Japan, spoke at the rally and expressed their support for Falun Gong practitioners in their persistence in their belief and the pursuit of justice.
“Falun Gong showed us a direction for a democratic China, that is, to sue Jiang Zemin. We are confident that we will have a rally like this one on Tiananmen Square too,” said Mr. Yifan Xia, chairman of Democratic China in Japan.
Ms. Yunxia Gao calls on people from all walks of life to help end the persecution.
Ms. Siping Yao, a Falun Gong practitioner, speaks about the persecution and tortures she was subjected to in China. She is determined to press criminal charges against Jiang Zemin, the tyrant who ordered the persecution in July 1999.
Ms. Yunxia Gao, a Falun Gong practitioner, called on the public to help end the persecution. Her brother Mingxing Gao has muscle atrophy in both legs due to torture in a Communist regime prison for his practicing Falun Gong.
Her sister-in-law, Shang Chen is still serving a 10-year illegal prison term. She was almost blinded during a beating in prison.
Ms. Gao called on all people in Japanese society to help end the brutal persecution immediately.
Falun Gong practitioners held a parade in downtown Tokyo on July 20, after the rally.
Parade spectator Mr. Ariga, a retiree of the Japanese Postal Ministry, commented that Falun Gong practitioners are on the front lines to expose the brutality of the Chinese Communist Party. He added that they have invaluable courage to stand up to the Chinese regime's atrocities.
Falun Gong practitioners in Osaka held a rally in front of the Chinese Consulate on July 21, commemorating 16 years of peaceful resistance to the persecution.

The peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Consulate started in July 2000 on the first anniversary of the persecution and has continued unabated for 15 years.
