(Minghui.org) Carried into a courtroom slumped on a chair and in critical condition, Ms. Wu Jingjun, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jiangxi Province in China pleaded not guilty on June 8, 2015, for meditating. Wu then submitted a lawsuit to the People's Court of Qingshan Lake District, suing the former Chinese dictator, Jiang Zemin.
Ms. Wu was illegally imprisoned for ten years, and subjected to brutal torture, from which she almost died.
Ms. Wu, the former deputy director of the finance department at Light Industrial Products Import and Export Corporation, was arrested on the afternoon of October 1, 2014 by police officers from the Criminal Investigation Brigade of Qingshan Lake District Police Department.
Ms. Wu was tortured repeatedly during her first month in the Nanchang City Number 1 Detention Center. This resulted in her abdomen and legs swelling, which caused her to be constantly hunched forward due to the severe pain. She was bailed out for immediate medical attention at the end of the year.
Qingshan Lake District People's Court sent a subpoena to Ms. Wu on May 27, 2015, for a court hearing scheduled for June 8, on a charge based on China Criminal Law Section 299.

Three police officers arrived at Wu's apartment On the morning of June 8 to take her to court. Seeing her in such a severe state, an ambulance was called. The paramedics however, refused to accept her, due to her critical condition. The three police officers decided to carry her to a patrol car on a chair. Upon arriving at court, they carried her into the courtroom on the same chair.
Wu pleaded not-guilty in self-defense to all charges, and later submitted a criminal complaint against former Party dictator Jiang Zemin. The complaint listed the persecution to which Ms. Wu had been subjected.
Besides the most recent arrest, detention, and torture, Ms. Wu has been repeatedly arrested and jailed in forced labor institutes for a total of ten years since the year 2000.
Ms. Wu was frequently beaten by guards while jailed in forced labor camps over the past ten years. She was also bound to a bed for days and denied the right to use the toilet. She vomited due to being harshly force fed, which also caused her nose and stomach to bleed. She was forced to lay in her own blood, vomit, urine, and feces.
Police officers in a Beijing Police Station kicked her, and used police batons to beat her private areas, causing large blue bruises to appear. They slapped her face, punched her head, and cuffed her hands to a high railing, which caused the weight of her body to bring about severe injury to her wrists, arms, and shoulders.
