The Importance of Eliminating Negative Thoughts about Fellow Practitioners

November 16, 2015 |   By a Falun Dafa practitioner in China

(Minghui.org) A recent sharing article on the Minghui website warned against creating barriers between fellow practitioners. Such incidents have happened in my area too. The old forces took advantage of some practitioners' negative thoughts, and blocked us from forming the one body. We should stay alert for interference from our negative thoughts, and collectively form one body.

Fellow Practitioner A started practicing Falun Dafa before 1999, when he was young. He joined a group Fa-study in my area after he found a job here. All fellow practitioners think that he has a great rational understanding of the Fa.

In June of this year, Practitioner A successfully mailed his criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, requesting that the former Chinese President be brought to justice for his role in launching and directing the 16-year persecution of Falun Gong. He also helped some elderly practitioners with mailing their complaints via the Internet.

Two of the practitioners he had helped were arrested for telling people the facts about Falun Gong. Practitioner A actively participated in the effort to rescue them.

However, during that National Day break, when A went out of town, there was a rumor among fellow practitioners that all those whom A had helped had been arrested. The rumor caused A to stop going to any group Fa study. And no practitioner dared to ask him for help.

After the two imprisoned practitioners were released, they confirmed that the police did not know anything about their complaints against Jiang. Their detention obviously had nothing to do with Practitioner A. However, the rumor, which came in different versions, had caused estrangement among practitioners. The old forces took advantage of our negative thoughts about fellow practitioners, and prevented us from forming one body.

It's a lesson we have to learn collectively. We have to mind our speech, treat any hearsay with righteous thoughts, see through the tricks used by the old forces, and eliminate any factors that could be taken advantage of by them.

If any incident becomes an impedance to our doing the three things, or creates estrangement among practitioners, it must be interference by the old forces. While correcting ourselves, we need to immediately eliminate the interference.
