(Minhui.org) Ms. Zou Yufang, in her sixties, was arrested for the third time on August 4, 2014. She is now being detained in Baichen City Detention Center.
Ms. Zou Yufang has been repeatedly arrested and imprisoned because she practices Falun Gong. Police officers and detention center guards have not only harassed her, they have also been harassing her family and relatives. They've spent a great deal of time and money chasing after her, both locally and out of town.
Previous Arrests
Ms. Zou was first arrested on March 11, 2009, at her home. She is prone to heart disease, and the arrest aggravated her condition, but she was nonetheless transferred to Heizuizi Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City on March 27, 2009.
After Ms. Zou was released, Chen Yamin, along with five or six other officers from the Daan Domestic Security Team, ransacked her home on June 27, 2012. Ms. Zou was not home at the time. They took many of her personal belongings, including a laptop computer and an MP3 player. They threatened Ms. Zou’s husband and told him to hand his wife over so they could arrest her.
The second arrest occurred in January 2013, due to her continuing to practice Falun Gong. The brutal persecution made her very weak, and she easily tired. She was diagnosed with gastric cancer at that time.
The police still frequently harassed Ms. Zou at her home after she was released from the detention center. They wanted to arrest her and send her to jail again. She could not tolerate the harassment, and was forced to leave home, and thus lost contact with her family.
The police continue to target Ms. Zou. Liu Yanzhuo. The head of Changhong Police Station and other officers have gone to her home again and again, and harassed her family. They've also searched all her relative's homes, attempting to find her and arrest her again.
