Falun Gong Practitioners Forced to Submit to Blood Tests

(Minghui.org) Recently, police in different areas in China, especially in Guizhou and Liaoning provinces, forced Falun Gong practitioners of all ages to have blood tests. The police said they were acting on orders from their superiors. They also said they would establish a DNA database of Falun Gong practitioners.

Ms. Qi Shuping and Mr. Jing Yongan in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province

In early June, 2014, Shengli Police Station officers demanded that Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Qi Shuping submit to a blood test.

Officers Zhou Zhi and Fan Jiqing broke into Ms. Qi's home at 9 p.m. on June 11 to draw her blood, but she was not home at the time, so they threatened to seal off her home if she did not come forward.

Two nights later, the police broke into Ms. Qi's home again, but she was not there. They took her son to the police station instead and made him have a blood test. The police threatened the son and told him to keep the test. The incident caused him great distress.

In June, officer Zhang Liang went to Shenyang Prison and forced Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Jing Yongan to have a blood test.

On June 21, officer Ma Yingjun from Renaolu Police Station broke into a senior Falun Gong practitioner's home and took him to the police station for a blood test.

Two Practitioners in Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province

Officers from Fengcheng Police Station threatened Mr. Zhang Qinggui and Ms. Wujuan many times. They eventually went to Mr. Zhang's place of work and took his blood sample and thumbprint by force.

Benxi City, Liaoning Province

On June 13, officers from Benxi City told the mother of practitioner Mr. Gao Yudong to go get a blood test at the police station. Mr. Gao had been forced to become homeless to avoid persecution. The police claimed they needed to do a paternity test.

Anshun City, Guizhou Province

On May 13, two practitioners from the Hongji Factory of Anshun City were forced to have a sample of their blood taken at the local police station.

At the end of May, two practitioners from the Anji Factory of Anshun City were forced to have blood samples taken at the local police station.

On June 8, 5 people who would not identify themselves broke into the Yunma Factory of Anshun City and forced a practitioner to have a blood sample taken. However the practitioner resisted and they did not succeed.

Zunyi City, Guizhou Province

At the end of May 2014, officers from Tucheng, Zunyi City broke into 80-year-old Mr. Zhao Ru's home to take a sample of his blood.

Mr. Liu Maozhi from Longkeng, Zunyi City, was told to go to the local police station to get a blood test. He was threatened that his home would be ransacked if he did not go.

Guiyang City, Guizhou Province

From April 20 to 25, about 10 practitioners were arrested. They had their blood drawn and their homes ransacked. Their ages ranged from small children to 80 years old.

Beginning April 22, officers from the Changjianglu police station broke into several practitioners' homes and claimed they had to reconcile ID and registration numbers and take a sample of the occupants' blood.

On April 23, officers Hu Himin and Fang from Putuo Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Guixing's home and took a sample of his blood.

On April 24, officer Jiang Shan from Putuo Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Guixing's home and took a sample of his blood.

The next day, police from the station where Ms. Xiao used to live broke into her home again. They took pictures of Ms. Xia and her home. They could not take her blood because they forgot to bring the equipment.

From the end of May to early June, officers from Youzha Road Police Station broke into several other practitioners' home and took samples of their blood.

Huairen City, Guizhou Province

In May, officers from Canglong Police Station broke into the home of Mr. Meng Tianming and Mr. Zhao Yunlie and took samples of their blood. Mr. Zhao had to be forced to let them take his blood. Ms. Wang Xiaoying and Tan Chengxian were told to go to the police station to give blood samples, but they managed to escape.

Guiyang City, Guizhou Province

On May 9, officers Yao Yi and Yang Xing from the Shaotu Police Station broke into Ms. Xiong Tianbi's home and took a sample of her blood.

On May 10, officers from Jinya Police Station broke into an elderly practitioner's home and took a sample of his blood.

Other Cities in Guizhou Province

On April 17, four officers from the Guanzhen Police Station broke into two practitioners' homes and took them to the police station to get blood samples.

At the end of April, four officers from Dushan and Pingtang Police Stations took three practitioners to the police stations for blood samples.

Officers from Weining Police Station forced the practitioners on their list to give blood samples to set up a DNA data base.

Hengyang City, Hunan Province

On May 2, two practitioners were arrested when they distributed truth clarification materials. They were forced to give blood samples before they were released.

Beijing

On May 25, Mr. Hao Yongsen was arrested and tortured for 2 days. When his family went to the police station to visit him, they were all told to give blood samples. They offered strong resistance and did not comply.

Langfang City, Hebei Province

Ms. Ren Li was arrested on May 6. She was released that the evening but her car was detained there. When Ms. Ren went to pick up the car as instructed on May 19, she was, instead, forced to have a sample of her blood taken.
