Additional Persecution News from China – July 2, 2014 (13 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 4 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 15 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Lin Detained

Ms. Chen Lin, who is retired from the Yancheng Flour Mill, was arrested for telling people the facts about Falun Gong in mid-June, 2014. She is being held in the Yancheng Detention Center.

2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Zhiwu Faces Illegal Trial

Mr. Wang Zhiwu's family and attorney went to the Handan No. 2 Detention Center on the afternoon of June 30, 2014. The detention center officials would not allow Mr. Wang to meet his attorney. The attorney and Mr. Wang's family learned from the Congtai District Court that Mr. Wang would be placed on trial on the morning of July 8, 2014.

3. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Shu Dan Detained

Ms. Shu Dan was arrested by officers from the Huanggang City Domestic Security Division for talking to others about Falun Gong on June 6, 2014. The police ransacked her home and took her Falun Dafa books, truth clarifying materials, and a cell phone. Ms. Shu is being held in the Huanggang City Detention Center.

4. [Lulong County, Hebei Province] Mr. Lou Yang Held in Lulong County Police Department

Mr. Lou Yang was arrested by officers from the Chengguan Police Station on June 25, 2014. He was taken to the Lulong County Police Department. At the police station, Mr. Lou was severely beaten while his hands were tied behind his back. The police also stripped him naked and whipped him.

6. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Xiuyan Arrested by Undercover Police Officers

Ms. Wang Xiuyan, about 50, from the Huangdao District, was arrested for telling others about Falun Gong on May 13, 2014. She is being held in the Qingdao Pudong Detention Center.

7. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Yanhong and Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wang Yanhong from Matou Town was arrested on the afternoon of June 30, 2014. The police searched his home and took a computer, Falun Dafa books, and DVDs.

Ms. Zang Cuiqing is from Chang Village, Yihezhuang Township, Zhuozhou City. The police ransacked her home and took a copy of Zhuan Falunand an issue of Minghui Weeklyon the evening of June 30, 2014.

Ms. Cao Zhaohui is from Beixiguo Village, Matou Town. The police searched her home at noon on July 1, 2014. They confiscated materials that clarify the facts about Falun Gong and 300 yuan worth of paper bills with facts about Falun Gong written on them.

8. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Ji Changjun Held in Brainwashing Center

Mr. Ji Changjun was arrested on June 20, 2014. He was taken to the Dongfeng County Brainwashing Center. He was severely beaten and suspended off the ground by his handcuffs for a long time.

9. [Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wu Xiuru and Ms. Fang Shuqin Arrested

Ms. Wu Xiuru and Ms. Fang Shuqin from Lalin Town were arrested on the morning of July 1, 2014. The two practitioners are now in the Lalin Police Station.

10. [Tianjin] Ms. Ma Yumin and Ms. Li Chunyan Arrested

Ms. Ma Yumin and Ms. Li Chunyan from the Beimaizhu Village, Fengtai Town, Ninghe County, were arrested by officers from the Ninghe Town Police Station on June 30, 2014, for telling people about Falun Gong. They are being held in the Ninghe County Detention Center.

11. [Shanghai] Ms. Shen Hongbei Arrested

Ms. Shen Hongbei was arrested on the morning of June 23, 2014. The police grabbed her keys, entered her home, and ransacked it. Ms. Shen was taken to the Jiading Police Station. She was released later that night.

Ms. Shen's sister, Ms. Shen Honglei, was arrested at home at noon on the same day and taken to the Jiading Detention Center the following day. She has not returned home since.

12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Three Female Practitioners Arrested

Three female practitioners from the Wuchang District were arrested by officers from the Danshuichi Police Station for telling people about Falun Gong on June 29, 2014.

Mr. Jiang Bo was arrested and has been detained since April 4, 2014. It was reported recently that he was being held in the Shuguang Village Detention Center, Hongqi Township, Nangang District.
