(Minghui.org) Ms. Hu Fengying, 65, died on May 6, 2014, after experiencing long-term persecution for practicing Falun Gong.
Ms. Hu was arrested, then held at a detention center and a brainwashing center. She later became paralyzed. She succumbed to the tremendous pressure and died on May 6, 2014. Her daughter, who suffered a mental collapse due to torture, is now on her own.
Ms. Hu's daughter, Ms. Deng Xiaomin, 36, graduated from Jiangxi Teacher's University and was an English teacher.
She was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp in 2000 because she went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. She was handcuffed and shackled for a month in the forced labor camp. The guards shocked her with electric batons until she lost consciousness. She was also forced-fed through her nose.
The guards handcuffed her to a bed and forced her to stand for more than two months. She was put in solitary confinement for over two years, and inmates were ordered to beat her. She suffered a mental collapse as a result of being tortured. She was released in March 2003 and has never recovered.
Her mother borrowed a lot of money over the past decade to find a cure for her daughter. She asked for help from the local government and residential committee, but they refused her.
