(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Ji Hui, from Da'an City, Jilin Province, was unlawfully imprisoned for not giving up his belief in Falun Gong. Officers from the Domestic Security Division confiscated his car, and deputy chief Liu Yuming has been driving it for over a year.

Mr. Ji's wife has gone to the Domestic Security Division many times to demand the return of the car, but chief Sui Yanlong has refused to return it.

The car was new and the family is still paying on the loan. After Mr. Ji was imprisoned, his wife had no means to pay for the car and was subjected to tremendous financial and mental pressure.

Under much distress, one of her kidneys failed and she had to have surgery in Beijing. Due to the enormous medical expenses (40,000-50,000 yuan) plus tuition fees for their child, Mr. Ji's family had no choice but to live off the generosity of their relatives and friends.

Mr. Ji and two other practitioners were distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials on January 31, 2013 when officers from the Lesheng Police Station and Da'an City's Domestic Security Division, including Chen Yamin, Liu Yuming, and Mu Zijing, arrested them. Mr. Ji was sent to the Da'an Detention Center.

Their case was sent to the Procuratorate on March 6, 2013. The families of these practitioners hired a lawyer from Beijing, but the lawyer was denied access to their case files. The files were secretly transferred to the Da'an City Court on April 7, and handled by Sun Shouhang, the presiding judge.

Agents from the Jilin Province 610 Office, Liu Yongbo from the Da'an City 610 Office, and Sui Yanlong and Mu Zijing from the Domestic Security Division, went to the detention center many times and tried to force Mr. Ji to “transform.” They attempted to brainwash him, and threatened to kill or sentence him to life in prison without parole.

Without informing their attorney or families, the Da'an City Court secretly tried the practitioners on April 23. With close supervision by Wang Dexin from the Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC) and Liu Yongbo from the 610 Office, Mr. Ji was sentenced to four years in prison.

When their attorney learned about the trial on April 25, he went to the detention center to see his clients. Officials at the detention center claimed that Wang Dexin and Liu Yongbo from the 610 Office, and Sui Yanlong from the Da'an Domestic Security Division had denied visitation.

Sun Shouhang, the presiding judge of Mr. Ji's case, admitted, “There is nothing I could have done. The pressure from the Da'an City Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC) was too much. The court was going to rule four to eight months probation, but Wang Dexin from the PLAC overruled it. We had to do what we were told.”

The attorney has never been able to see his clients. Mr. Ji was transferred to Jilin Prison on May 29, 2013.
