(Minghui.org) The family of Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhu Zuoxin from Jinhua City in Zhejiang Province went to the Zhejiang No. 4 Prison on January 4, 2014, but were not allowed to see Mr. Zhu. They were told that he had been transferred to the prison hospital ward and was being kept in solitary confinement.

Mr. Zhu's family told the guards, “We were told in the middle of December that Mr. Zhu was tortured by having his head pushed into a urinal every hour.” The guard denied the allegation. Mr. Zhu' family has submitted a letter of appeal to the Attorney's Office at the prison.

Prior to this, the family visited the prison in March, June, and September 2013, but weren't allowed to see Mr. Zhu then, either. The reason given then was that Mr. Zhu was in the “strict control” unit for steadfast Falun Gong practitioners who refuse to give up their belief.

Mr. Zhu was arrested in the morning on May 26, 2012, at the gate of his workplace by officers from the Jindong District Domestic Security Division. He was tried on September 28, 2012, in the Jindong District Court. His family wasn't informed of the trial.

Mr. Zhu was sentenced to four and a half years in prison and transferred to the No. 10 ward of Zhejiang No. 4 Prison on January 31, 2013.
