(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 3 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 1 practitioner was illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Sang Jiying Suffers Mental Disorder Due to Persecution

Ms. Sang Jiying, 37, was arrested by officers from the Changwa Police Station in Haidian District in April 2013, and later sentenced to three years in prison. She has developed a mental disorder due to the abuse she suffered while she was detained at the Police Department Hospital in Beijing.

2. [Liaoyang County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Suzhen Detained

Ms. Wang Suzhen was arrested on February 7, 2014, and is now being held at the Shoushan Town Police Station in Liaoyang County.

3. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Kang Changjiang in Critical Condition

Mr. Kang Changjiang was recently hospitalized at the Hulan Prison Hospital due to the abuse he suffered while detained in prison. He has developed a serious anal fistula and has to rely on liquids and intravenous infusions to sustain his life. He can not move about and is bedridden.

4. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Yang Shuangju and Ms. Wang Yumei Sentenced

Ms. Yang Shuangju and Ms. Wang Yumei were sentenced to three years and three months in prison and to four years in prison by the 27^th District Court in Zhengzhou City in mid-January 2014, and in August 2013, respectively. Ms. Wang is detained at the Xinxiang County Women's Prison in Henan Province.
