(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 13 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 11 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Elderly Practitioners Ms. Zu Xiaoxian and Ms. Yi Zuojun Arrested

Ms. Zu Xiaoxian, 78, and Ms. Yi Zuojun, 68, were arrested on the morning of June 18, 2014, by officers from Xintun Police Station. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated the Falun Gong book Zhuan Falun from Ms. Zu, as well as Falun Gong books and an MP3 player from Ms. Yi.

Ms. Zu was released at 10:00 p.m. that night after the officers extorted 3,000 yuan from her family. Ms. Yi was taken to the Nangou Detention Center.

2. [Donggang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Song Guangdi and Others Whereabouts Unknown

Officers from the Gushan Town Police Station have continuously harassed practitioners since early September, via phone calls, breaking into and ransacking their homes, arresting them, forcibly taking their fingerprints, blood tests, etc.

Ms. Song Guangdi, Ms. Sun Shuying, Ms. Li Congzhi, Mr. Song Jiwei, and Ms. Wang Chun were forced to leave their homes and move frequently to avoid persecution. Their whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Suqin and Ms. Yu Lanying Arrested

Ms. Liu Suqin and Ms. Yu Lanying, from Ji County, were arrested by officers from the Luzhuangzi Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of September 20, 2014.

4. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Deng Hai to Be Released

Mr. Deng Hai was held in the Aba Prefecture Prison in Huangxu Town. He was expected to be released on September 27, 2014.

5. [Kaifeng County, Henan Province] Ms. Song Jinmei Detained

Ms. Song Jinmei, from Xianrenzhuang Village, was arrested on August 22, 2014, for distributing materials about Falun Gong. She is being held in the Kaifeng City Detention Center.

6. [Yingshan County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Derong Sentenced

Ms. Jiang Derong, in her sixties, was arrested by officers from the Nanchong Railway Police Station on January 4, 2014. She was then transferred to the Yingshan Detention Center. She was sentenced to four years in prison.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Gong Yulan Detained

Ms. Gong Yulan, about 50, from the Dongxihu District, was arrested on September 18, 2014, at home, by officers from Baiquan Police Station. She was taken to the Wuhan No. 1 Detention Center and held there for ten days.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhao Xiaoyun Detained

Ms. Zhao Xiaoyun, from Hengdian Street, was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division and the Hengdian Police Station on the afternoon of September 17, 2014. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, along with Falun Gong books. Three daughters of Ms. Zhao's looked everywhere for their mother the next day, and discovered that she was being held at the Wujiashan Detention Center in Wuhan City for seven days.

9. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Gong Fang's Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Gong Fang, an employee at the Shenzhen TV Station, was recently arrested for telling people about Falun Gong. His home was ransacked, and his whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Guo Lijuan Taken to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Jiang Yuejun jumped from the second floor of a brainwashing center, and broke his leg. He was hospitalized in the Jilin Chuangshang Hospital. Ms. Guo Lijuan went to the Shulan People's Hospital to visit him on September 20, 2014. The police arrested her on her way home, and took her to the Beicheng Police Station. She was taken to a brainwashing center.

11. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xu Jianying Arrested

Ms. Xu Jianying was arrested on September 19, 2014, at her home in the Bao'an District of Shenzhen, by officers from her hometown's Xining Police Department in Qinghai Province.

12. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Pan Yunlan and Ms. Shang Yujun Arrested

Ms. Pan Yunlan and Ms Shang Yujun, in their seventies, from Xianhe Town, were arrested by officers from the Xincheng Police Station. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated a printer and other belongings. Both elderly practitioners returned home the next day.

Their sons and daughters were not allowed to go to work. Officials demanded that they watch their mothers. The two elderly practitioners have to report to the police station daily.

13. [Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Tian Haiying Sentenced

The Jiujiang County Court held a secret hearing on Ms. Tian Haiying in late August 2014, without notifying her family. Ms. Tian was sentenced to three years in prison. She is being held in the Jiujiang County Detention Center.

14. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Jiang Yuying Detained

Ms. Jiang Yuying was arrested by officers from the Xixiashu Town Police Station on September 9, 2014. She is being held in the Changzhou City Detention Center.

15. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Wang Youjiang, Ms. Chen Jie, Mr. Ge Qingchun, and Ms. Lu Yueling were sentenced to prison on September 18, 2014. Their terms ranged from three to six years in prison.
