(Minghui.org) One day I clarified the truth about Falun Gong to an old man. He is a retired university history professor and is a very proud person.

When I told him about the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) evilness, he was particularly objectionable. I then told him about how Chinese history is being tampered with by the CCP. He said: "I am a university professor. Don't I know more than you, a little girl? I have experienced much more than you. When I was famous, you were still a baby. Are you telling me this? Are you trying to show off in front of me?"

I said: "Sir, being an old person does not mean being a knowledgeable person. Conversely, being a young person does not mean not having knowledge. Some knowledge has nothing to do with age; it is related to experience. You are of an old age, so you must have experienced many political movements in those decades. Don't you think the CCP is evil? Especially during the Cultural Revolution, I think you must have been denounced, right? After all, you have all that knowledge. Do you think the CCP is good? "

He had been a CCP member for many years. He was very stubborn and was impacted by the CCP's culture. He was not moved by my words. I tried to give him a Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD and the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party DVD. However, he refused and threatened to send me to the police.

I asked Master for help and sent forth righteous thoughts. I then said: “Sir, even if I went to the police station with you, the police would not want to take care of this. Even the police know the truth and are quitting the CCP and its affiliated organizations these days. You are so stubborn. What can the CCP give you? Is the CCP membership that important?" No matter what I said, he refused to quit the Party.

Because I had to go home, I did not talk more. After I got home, I felt very bad. I relayed what happened to a family member, who is also a practitioner. We shared our understanding and I looked inward. I found that I was not compassionate enough.

Master never feels bitter while save sentient beings, including us. Master has suffered so much and endured so much of practitioners' suffering in order to save us, but what did I do? As Master's disciples, as Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples, we should save sentient beings as Master has instructed. I did not accomplish what Master wants due to a lack of compassion.

I was so sorry that I burst into tears. I said silently to Master in my heart: “Master, I know I was wrong. Please give me another chance. Please let me meet the old man again and let me make up for my mistake. I want to save this predestined person.”

With Master's careful arrangement, I met the man again. I was very surprised—he acted like a totally different person. He greeted me first and said: "Girl, I went back and thought for a long time. After all, it [the CCP doctrine] has been my belief for decades, although I also know it has a problem. But when it was brought up so directly, it was difficult for me to accept.”

He continued: “I also know there are problems with the truth of our reported Chinese history. Many textbooks do not match up with history. The CCP is too corrupt now; it simply does not think like normal people." He asked for a Shen Yun DVD and the Nine Commentaries DVD and agreed to quit the CCP. I did not have the Nine Commentaries DVD with me, so he gave me his contact information so that I could bring it over later.

I got home and shared with my fellow practitioner. I realized that Master showed mercy and did not give up on me even though I had not done well. Master gave me a second chance to let me make it up.

This old man was special. After all, his profession dealt with history. Usually, I do not have a chance to meet this kind of person. I prepared the Nine Commentaries DVD and IPPOTV software. I hoped he could learn the truth and understand the CCP's wickedness from watching the DVD, and that the influence of the CCP's culture on him could then be cleared away.

Later I asked him what he thought after watching the DVD. He said he was so angry about the CCP's crimes that he almost smashed a tea cup.

Later he asked his son and daughter-in-law to come over for the weekend. He asked me to help them to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to them. He said to them: “I quit the CCP myself, so what are you waiting for? Those are bad things that only bring us bad luck. Hurry up and quit. Get away from the bad luck!” With his help, many of his relatives quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.

With the care of compassionate Master, I am able to walk on the path of cultivation. I've found many of my shortcomings and am making progress step by step. I want to thank compassionate Master. I want to repay Master's merciful salvation with righteous thoughts and actions and return to my real home with Master as soon as possible.
