(Minghui.org) The propaganda machines CCTV and Xinhua News both reported falsified news on June 4, 2013, slandering Falun Gong. The reports accused practitioners of fabricating pictures of “brutal tortures.” Xinhua News itself asserted that, “Several people in uniform grabbed the victim's hair, whose hands were covered in blood, and a toothbrush was squeezed between his fingers.”

No matter how this propaganda machine tries to deny the facts about so-called “fake pictures” of Falun Gong practitioners, it cannot deny the indisputable facts, that the real name of the torture depicted by Xinhua News is called "opening a lock."

The following examines a few cases of the “opening a lock” torture.

The Minghui website reported on April 8, 2004, that at the April 1 general meeting of the UN Commission on Human Rights, the chairman of International Education Development (IED) recounted the horrendous experiences of Falun Gong practitioner Chen Aizhong and his family. The chairman then appealed to the UN to set up a special group to investigate cases in China, and appoint a special human rights inspector to deal with such cases.

Mr. Chen Aizhong

Mr. Chen was a resident of Canfangying Village, Beixinbao Township, Huailai County in Hebei Province. His entire family of six, including his father Chen Yunchuan, his mother Wang Lianrong, elder brother Chen Aizhong, younger brother Chen Aili, elder sister Chen Shulan, and younger sister Chen Hongping, all practiced Falun Gong. All of them except Chen Shulan have since died as a result of the persecution.

In January 2001, the Mr. Chen's entire family and 9-year-old niece Li Ying went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong. Mr. Chen was arrested and illegally detained at the Dongbeiwang Detention Center in Beijing for seven days, where he experienced numerous tortures, before being taken to the the Haidian District Detention Center in Beijing where the guards continued to torture him.

Guards ordered criminal inmates to strip off all Mr. Chen's clothing, drag him to the courtyard, and bury his whole body under snow. Several inmates were ordered to torture him by means of "opening a lock," in which one inmate held two of Mr. Chen's fingers tightly, while another inserted the handle of a toothbrush between his fingers. The handle was then forcefully and continuously twisted, bending Mr. Chen's fingers tightly together. The skin between the fingers was broken and bleeding profusely.

Torture re-enactment: "Opening a lock"

Another similar case took place in Qingdao City, Shandong Province.

Zhang Chunting, a farmer in Qili Village, Guxian Town, Pingdu City, Shandong Province, recounted, “I was arrested at Tiananmen Square on October 25, 2000 and taken back to my area's local police station. I was chained to an iron chair for an entire day and night before being taken to the Pingdu Detention Center for one month of illegal imprisonment. The guards ordered inmates to beat me savagely, strip off my clothes, and pour cold water on me in the frigid weather. They also held two of my fingers tightly together and forced a toothbrush handle in between them, then twisted the handle over and over. My fingers were making crackling sounds from the twisting, and the skin of my fingers was torn. The scars on my hands are still visible.”

Mr. Shao Chengluo (about 70) is a respected senior doctor of Chinese medicine from Zhao Village, Liuting Street, Chengyang District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. He was illegally sentenced to seven years in prison in 2006 and forcibly taken to the Shandong Province No. 1 Prison.

After a mid-day nap on December 10, 2007, inmate Zhu Qingjiang had inmate Gao Shuai tie Mr. Shao's neck and ankles together. Gao then lifted Mr. Shao by his feet and repeatedly pounded Mr. Shao's head to the ground, severely injuring his cervical vertebra. The inmates also put a paper hat on his head, painted his face, and pierced his feet with needles.

Zhu and another inmate, Ma Daoge, pounded Mr. Shao's chest with thick-handled brushes until they were too tired to continue. Mr. Shao was bruised and bleeding.

Inmate Ning Liang burned the fingers on Mr. Shao's right hand with a lighter until each finger was blistered and burned. Another inmate, Han Xiaolei, repeatedly kicked him in the head while shouting, “Wait until I use my hands. You will be dead by then.” They then drilled between his fingers with a sharpened toothbrush, causing Mr. Shao's fingers to bleed profusely.

The Chinese communist regime's propaganda machine falsely claims that Falun Gong practitioners in Qingdao fabricated pictures depicting torture methods, and a list of 25 tortures. The examples cited above are examples of Qingdao Falun Gong practitioners being tortured, and the examples sufficiently prove these tortures do exist. In fact, the variety of tortures that Falun Gong practitioners have experienced far exceed just 25 kinds. Mr. Shao himself experienced as many as 150 kinds of torture.

This torture of “opening a lock” really exists, and practitioners merely intend to reenact it using actual people to reveal more clearly what the torture is really like. After being tortured however, the CCP does not allow its victims to speak about it. And when the victims expose its evil, it bites back by accusing the victims of “slandering” it. Such acts are truly evil and shameless.
