June 14, 2013 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner from Moldova

(Minghui.org) The Art of Zhen, Shan, Ren International Exhibition was presented at the Regional Public Library in Orhei, Moldova on May 18-31, 2013.

The artwork depicted the tragedy of the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China, as well as the beauty and depth of the practitioners' spiritual belief. The works, consisting mainly of oil paintings and Chinese pastels, touched the depths of people's souls, stirring their primal quest to understand humanity and the universe beyond.

The viewers found the exhibition both intimate and inspiring. Ana Levintsa, a representative from the regional council, said, "The paintings are very special. They awaken in the viewers something that uplifts the soul. It makes a human more human. Many thanks to the organizers for this gleam of spiritual light."

Grand Opening

The exhibition opening was celebrated with an artistic program performed by local Falun Gong practitioners, and included traditional Chinese dance and a waist drum performance. The opening event was attended by local officials, library staff, as well as the general public.

Young practitioners dressed as “celestial maidens” distributed the informational flyers to the attendees. People gladly accepted the information, eager to learn more about the exhibition and traditional Chinese culture.

Viewer Feedback

Viewers were touched by the artistic quality of the presented paintings, as well as the expression of powerful reality and hope that they radiated. For the majority, it was their first time seeing an art exhibition of such high caliber in Orhei.

Tatiana Barbulat wrote the following comment in the visitors’ book, "My soul started to fly in the air, filled with Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. This practice attracts souls. I knew intuitively about it [Falun Gong], and now I will think about practicing myself...Wake up, humanity! Look at what is happening around you! Think about it and make a decision! I am for Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance!"

Another visitor left the following feedback: "Amazing! Admiring with attention these wonderful works, one does not observe how he escapes from this world full of troubles and steps into a new, unknown land. Serenity, peace, beauty, a call to faith, spiritual emancipation and inner bustle—I have learned a new language, unknown till now... to see the soul through the eyes of a meditative mind. We need it—the faith! We need to know beyond the horizon of our country where we have been born and [where we] live. Let's do it. Thank you for the effort."

Another viewer wrote, "I would like to thank the organizers of this special, beautiful, original and very profound exhibition. I want to believe that these paintings open up the eyes, minds and souls of all [people], whether they are Russian, Chinese, Romanian, Greek, or American. We all have mothers, families, countries, and have something to fight for. A true man is the one who fights for life, and these paintings demonstrate that Chinese can do it."

The exhibition was covered by local media, including a radio station and a major newspaper in Orhei.
