(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 10 provinces. According to this report, 8 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 32 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

 

Three practitioners were arrested around November 15, 2013. Ms. Hu Xiaobin was arrested by officers from the Shekkongjie Police Station. Mr. Li Yan was arrested by officers from the Fangcun Police Station. Ms. Yang Lin was arrested at her office by officers from the Gexinjie Police Station and is being held at a detention center.

2. [Dai County, Shanxi Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Ms. Zhou Xiuli was arrested by officers from the Yangmingbao Police Station on November 20, 2013, while distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong and the persecution. She was detained for 15 days.

When Ms. Zhang Shuiyu, Ms. Chan Lin, and Ms. Qing Bai came to the Xinzhou City Detention Center to pick up Ms. Zhou, they were detained by police. Their homes were ransacked.

3. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Yang Hualian, Mr. Huang Dingcheng, and Ms. Liao Xiaolan were secretly sentenced to nine, eight, and six years in prison, respectively, by the Guanghan City Court on December 6, 2013.

4. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Lianfang and Ms. Li Guizhi Detained

Ms. Xu Lianfang and Ms. Li Guizhi were arrested by the political secretary of Changfa Village and officers from the local police station. They were taken to the Tieling City Detention Center and have been held there for 7 days.

5. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Guilan Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Wang Guilan, 70, was arrested by agents from the 610 Office in mid-November 2013. She was taken to the Fuliyuan Brainwashing Center in Shahezi Village.

6. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Eleven Practitioners Arrested

Eleven practitioners were arrested at Ms. Zhang Hongmei's home by officers from the Xiguan Police Station on the afternoon of December 2, 2013, when they gathered to study the teachings of Falun Gong together. Police confiscated two desktop computers, a DVD burner, two printers, a paper cutter, Falun Gong books, pictures of Falun Gong's founder, currency bills with messages about Falun Gong written on them, and five or six electric vehicles.

Some of the arrested practitioners were: Ms Zhang Hongmei, 54; Ms. Wang Xiuhui, 65; Ms. Liu Guihua, 66; Ms. Zhang Dengying, 68; Ms. Zhao Zhiqin, 75; Ms. Cao Guilan, in her 50s; and Ms. Ma Xiulan, 72. Everyone was later released, except Ms. Zhang Hongmei and Ms. Cao.

7. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Fang Xueying Arrested

Ms. Fang Xueying, in her 40s, was arrested at home by officers from the Furi Police Station at noon on December 6, 2013. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and materials, a printer, and her son's computer.

8. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Guirong Arrested

Ms. Guirong was arrested by officers from the Xifeng District Domestic Security Division on December 3, 2013.

9. [Funing County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Wenjie Arrested

Mr. Wang Wenjie was arrested by officers from the Songzhuang Police Station on December 6, 2013, while talking to people about Falun Gong and the persecution.

10. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Shouheng Arrested

Mr. Ma Shouheng was arrested on his way to work by officers from the Hanting 610 Office on the morning of April 7, 2013. They confiscated a computer, CDs, information materials about Falun Gong, and MP3 players. Mr. Ma was released after the 610 Office had extorted 20,000 yuan in cash from his family.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. She Yue Arrested

Mr. She Yue was arrested near his home by officers from the Zhongshan District Domestic Security Division on December 5, 2013.

12. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cui Detained

Ms. Cui was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Qianguo County Police Department on December 5, 2013. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated two computers, a printer, Falun Gong books, and information materials about Falun Gong. Her car was also seized. Ms. Cui is being held in the Qianguo County Detention Center.

13. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Jiang Xianfeng Arrested

Mr. Jiang Xianfeng was arrested on December 5, 2013. Police confiscated information materials about Falun Gong that were in his home.

14. [Luancheng County, Hebei Province] Two Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Yan Yongquan and her son-in-law were arrested by officers from the Cheng District Police Department on November 29, 2013. Her son-in-law was released the next day. Ms. Yan is still held in Shijiazhuang City.

15. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Shi Baohua and Ms. Dong Wenxiu Detained

Ms. Shi Baohua and Ms. Dong Wenxiu were arrested on the morning of December 2, 2013. They are being held in the Weifang City Detention Center.

Ms. Guan Shuli was arrested at home on the afternoon of December 26, 2013. She was taken to the Domestic Security Division of the Daoli Police Department. Police ransacked her home.

18. [Shanghai] Mr. Ding Zhibin Arrested

Mr. Ding Zhibin was arrested on November 25, 2013, when he distributed information materials about Falun Gong and the persecution at Fudan University.

19. [Shanghai] Ms. Sun Yaxuan Sentenced to Five Years in Prison

Ms. Sun Yaxuan, 66, was sentenced to five years in prison by the Yangpu Court on the morning of December 26, 2013.

20. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Zhenglan and Mr. Li Bo Detained

Ms. Liu Zhenglan and Mr. Li Bo were arrested on December 4, 2013, while distributing information materials about Falun Gong and the persecution. They are being held in the Dandong City Detention Center.

21. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Yu Rong, Mr. Dai Zengzhen, and Ms. Wang Xiaoyun were arrested on December 7, 2013, while distributing calendars with information about Falun Gong.
