(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces. According to this report, 12 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Xinyi, Jiangsu Province] Eight Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Cao Huayong, Ms. Yang Xue, Ms. Wang Fen, Mr. Lu Ning, Ms. Lu Qihua, Ms. Lu Qijuan, Mr. Ji Xianglong, and Ms. Xu Xiujuan were arrested on October 11, 2013, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

2. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Juhua Arrested

Ms. Li Juhua from the Huangpi District of Wuhan was arrested and taken to the Wuhan First Detention Center on September 28, 2013. She was held there for 15 days. Hu Yuqing and other policemen from the Huangpi Domestic Security Division took her to a brainwashing center at noon on October 12, 2013.

3. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhou Fan Arrested on October 10, 2013

4. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Ms. Yao Changli Arrested and Incarcerated

Ms. Yao Changli works at Northeast Normal University. She was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Nanguan Police Department because she talked to people about Falun Gong on July 22, 2013. She is being held in the Third Detention Center.

5. [Tianshui, Gansu Province] Ms. Wang Jing and Ms. Zhang Arrested

Ms. Wang Jing and Ms. Zhang from the Maiji District were reported to the police when they talked to people about Falun Gong recently. They were arrested by Feng Jitang from the Maiji District Police Department.

6. [Dandong, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Lin Arrested on October 9, 2013 and Taken to the Dandong Detention Center

7. [Jiamusi, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Hou Shengjiang Arrested

Mr. Hou Shengjiang was arrested on the afternoon of October 12, 2013, by officers from the Jianguolu Police Station for posting Falun Gong materials in public. The police searched his home and took two laptop computers, a desktop computer, a printer, and two hard drives. Mr. Hou was taken to the Jiamusi Detention Center.

8. [Beijing] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhang Mingxia from Shijingshan; Mr. Yan Feng, Ms. Lin Fuhua, and Mr. Da Bao from Tongzhou; Mr. Jin Yuantao from the Chaoyang District; and four other practitioners were transferred to the Changping District Detention Center in Beijing at the end of September 2013.

9. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Mr. Ding Yuliang Arrested

Mr. Ding Yuliang is a teacher at Sandian Central Elementary School in Xinzhou District, Wuhan. He was taken to a brainwashing center from his office on October 12, 2013.
