(Minghui.org) Three Falun Gong practitioners—Ms. Qi Shuyan, a physician; Ms. Yan Xihua, a teacher; and Ms. Wang Yuzhuo, a physician—from Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province, were due to finish their illegal prison terms around late April/the beginning of May 2012. Shuangyashan City 610 Office agents contacted Ms. Qi's family and forbade them from picking her up from Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison in Harbin City. The agents attempted to take her to a brainwashing center to continue persecuting her.

Ms. Qi and Ms. Yan were both illegally arrested on April 25, 2009, and sentenced to three years in prison. On August 19, 2009, they were taken to the Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. Their terms expired on April 29, 2012.

Ms. Qi, 53, was a renowned doctor in her area and a former employee of the Shuangyashan City Mine Bureau Transportation Section Hospital. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, she was illegally arrested several times for her belief. Just after the 2002 Chinese New Year, she was sentenced to two years at the Jiamusi City Forced Labor Camp, where she was brutally tortured.

Ms. Yan Xihua was a teacher. After she began practicing Falun Gong more than ten years ago, she conducted herself according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She thought that if everyone could conduct themselves according to these principles, then there would be no thing as fake goods or people not trusting each other. After the persecution began in 1999, Ms. Yan was arrested many times for her belief and subjected to three years of forced labor.

Ms. Wang Yuzhuo, about 50 years old, was a physician at the ECG Department in the Shuangyashan City People's Hospital. She was arrested on May 2, 2002, and sentenced to ten years in prison. She was severely tortured in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison. Her term expired on May 1, 2012. Prison officials contacted her family to pick her up. Ms. Wang was not informed that her father had passed away during her imprisonment.

Last year another practitioner, Ms. Zhang Li, who had been imprisoned in Heilongjiang Province Women's Prison for nine years, was released after serving an extended term. Two officers from the Wohongqiao Police Station and one from her community went to the prison and attempted to take her to a brainwashing center. When Ms. Zhang's family members strongly resisted, they were unable to take her away.
