Missouri, USA: City of Wentzville Issues Proclamation Declaring May 13, 2012 as Falun Dafa Day Honoring Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance

(Minghui.org) On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the introduction of Falun Dafa to the public, Nickolas Guccione, Mayor of the City of Wentzville, Missouri, proclaimed May 13, 2012 as Falun Dafa Day Honoring Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance.

Proclamation

Whereas, Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong) is a high-level body-mind-spirit cultivation practice consisting of exercise, meditation and teachings guided by the characteristics of the universe – Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, and

Whereas, Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, introduced the practice in May of 1992. The practice of Falun Dafa has helped hundreds of millions across the world improve their health and moral standards, as well as deepen their understanding of life, humanity and the universe; and

Whereas, more men and women of the United States are learning the practice and purifying their hearts, energizing their bodies, and striving to create virtuous communities; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa practitioners in Missouri note stress reduction, health improvement, and spiritual growth; and

Whereas, Falun Dafa is practiced by many professional citizens of all ages in Missouri; and

Whereas, all Falun Dafa activities, including classes and practices, are offered by volunteers and are open to the public and free of charge; and

Whereas, numerous practitioners of Falun Dafa are persecuted in China for their beliefs; and

Whereas, the persecution of the practitioners of Falun Dafa in China is an attack on the basic human rights and should not be tolerated anywhere in the world.

Now therefore, I, Nickolas Guccione, Mayor of the City of Wentzville, do hereby proclaim, May 13, 2012 as:

Falun Dafa Day Honoring Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance

The City of Wentzville is a community of neighbors working together to build a better future.
