(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they too be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
The following are three instances of karmic retribution that befell officers from the Xinhuang County 610 Office and the Huaihua City Police Station in Hunan Province, each of whom took an active part in the persecution.
1. Yang Minrong, Deputy Head of Township Police Station, Xinhuang County
Yang Minrong, 45, was the former deputy head of the Township Police Station in Xinhuang County. She closely followed the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and cooperated with the 610 Office to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. On the morning of October 26, 2011, at around 9:00 a.m., Yang Minrong, Yang Shihua, and Yao Xuemei ordered several police officers (a total of seven to eight policemen) from the Township Police Station to go to the farmer's market and surround practitioner Ms. Yao Cuiping's booth. They rudely pulled and forced Ms. Yao from the booth, then into a police car. and sent her to a brainwashing center.
At 10:00 p.m. on December 27, 2011, Yang Minrong, along with four or five police officers, including Guo Hongqing, the head of the police station, were involved in a car accident. The police car caught fire. Several people attempted to pull Yang Minrong out of the car, but her feet were caught and she was burned to death.
2. Yao Jianlin from the 610 Office
Yao Jianlin, 37, was a driver for the 610 Office. Before he died, he took a lead role in arresting and harassing Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners clarified the truth to him about Falun Dafa and the persecution multiple times, but he refused to listen and continued to persecute practitioners in order to get promotion opportunities. When he was having dinner on September 10, 2011, he suddenly had a stroke and died the next morning.
3. Yang Daobing, Deputy Head of the Xinhuang County Detention Center
Yang Daobing, deputy head of the Xinhuang County Detention Center, had been actively cooperating with the 610 Office to persecute Falun Gong. Between July 1999 and the time of his retirement, he arrested close to 100 practitioners. He also created financial difficulties for practitioners in detention by withholding moneys meant for their living expenses. When practitioners' terms were up, he refused to release them until he extorted money from them. Practitioners clarified the truth to him multiple times, but he refused to believe them. Several years ago, he died of a sudden illness.
