Two Innocent Women from Anqing City, Anhui Province, Interrogated in Detention Center

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Shu Yulan and Ms. Chen Lingli, from Anqing City, Anhui Province, were arrested on the afternoon of November 25, 2011, while distributing Falun Gong truth clarification materials in Haikou Town. They are being illegally detained at the Anqing First Detention Center.

Due to the harsh environment, the long-term labor, and the endless interrogations, they have drastically deteriorated mentally and physically. They've both developed hypertension (with systolic pressure exceeding 180 mmHg), and experienced other complications.

Ms. Shu has a mentally retarded son. Her mother-in-law is nearly 80 years old and is dependent on her. Since Ms. Shu has been detained, her son has not had a proper meal, and has only occasionally eaten bread. He often wanders around outside and has become very bony. Her mother-in-law has no one to care for her, and often soils her bed.

Miss Chen started practicing Falun Gong in 2008. She became very compassionate. She respected her in-laws, cared for her children, and was a good wife. All her neighbors praised her for being a good daughter-in-law.

Before Ms. Chen began practicing Falun Gong she indulged in playing mahjong, smoking, drinking, and gambling. She never cared for her children. She is over six feet tall but only weighed about 80 pounds, and had all kinds of diseases. Practicing Falun Gong completely changed her. She became healthy both mentally and physically.

On the afternoon of November 25, Ms. Shu and Ms. Chen were distributing truth clarifying materials in Haikou Town in the Daguang District of Anqing City, when they were reported and subsequently arrested by officers from the Haikou Police Station. At 10:00 p.m. that night, police from the Daguang District Domestic Security Team of Anqing City Public Department and the Haikou Police Station ransacked their homes. They confiscated two computers (one a laptop), two color printers, two paper cutters, and Dafa books and truth clarification materials.

Ms. Shu was forced to leave home to avoid further persecution in the past years and led a difficult life with her son. On the afternoon of October 15, 2009, Zhang Yun, director of Daguang District Political and Law Office, and the instructor of the Linghu Police Station, together with eight to nine other police officers, broke into Ms. Shu's home and arrested her. In early 2011, Ms. Shu was forced into a brainwashing session.
