Additional Persecution News from China – January 26, 2012 (6 Reports)

(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in six cities or counties and five provinces. In this report, three practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least three practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Zhangqiu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ding Li Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Ding Li was arrested while she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials on October 6, 2011. She was taken to a brainwashing facility located at the Shandong Province No. 2 Forced Labor Camp.

2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Yunsheng Detained

On the afternoon of January 22, 2012, Ms. Liu Yunsheng, 43, was reported by a villager for speaking with people about Falun Gong in Xieyi Village, Shijing Town, Baoding City. She was arrested by officers from the Mancheng County Domestic Security Division and the Shijing Town Police Station. She is being held at the Mancheng County Detention Center.

Ms. Liu's mother and two daughter were arrested at the same time. They were released that night after having 2,500 yuan extorted from them.

3. [Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yan Zongfang's Home Ransacked

Ms. Yan Zongfang, 62, was reported for distributing Falun Gong informational materials on January 16, 2012, in the evening. She was arrested by officers from the 610 Office and the Dongcheng Police Station and then taken to the Dongcheng Police Station. The officers seized Ms. Yan's house key and ransacked her home. They confiscated more then 20 Falun Gong books. Ms. Yan was released after 10:00 p.m. that night.

4. [Anping County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiaoluan Still Detained at the Hengshui City Detention Center

In January 2012, a seriously disabled practitioner, Ms. Wang Xiaoluan, was transferred from the Hengshui City Detention Center to the Hebei Province Women's Prison. However, the prison refused to admit her. Ms. Wang is still being held at the Hengshui City Detention Center.

5. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Guirong Disabled as a Result of Persecution

Ms. Zhang Guirong, about 50, was formerly an accountant with the Nong'an County Road Maintenance Division. In 2003, Ms. Zhang was arrested. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated a computer, a printer, and other personal belongings. Not long after her arrest, Ms. Zhang was tortured and became disabled. On February 2, 2011, two police officers took Ms. Zhang to the Fourth Healing Sector of Kangning Hospital in Changchun City. She has been held in the hospital against her will ever since.

6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] More Information on the Arrest of Ms. Qi Yaru

More than two dozen officers from the Xiangfang District Domestic Security Division, 610 Office, and the Liushun Police Station broke into Ms. Qi Yaru's home on December 31, 2011. Ms. Qi was not at home at the time. They took away her non-practitioner husband, Mr. Wang Dejun, and her son, Mr. Wang Qi, then ransacked her home. Ms. Qi's 92-year-old father-in-law was terrified and left home alone. Later, the police forced Mr. Wang Dejun to lead them to Ms. Qi's sister's home in Wuzhan Town, Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang Province, and arrested Ms. Qi and her ten-year-old daughter, Wang Shiyuan.

Ms. Qi's daughter was sent home that night. Her husband was released on January 13, 2012, and her son was released on January 19. They were both interrogated many times.
