(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Gong Ruiping from the Pinggu District in Beijing is recognized as an excellent teacher. However, she has been repeatedly persecuted for her belief in Falun Gong. On August 29, 2012, she was arrested again and sentenced to two years and nine months in prison. Ms. Gong is currently being held at the Shenyi District Nihe Detention Center.

Officers from the Henanzai Police Station harassed her under the guise of “checking her residential registration” at her apartment in the Miyun District on August 29. Ms. Gong explained that she was forced to live there in order to avoid further persecution. The police barged in, pushed her down, ransacked the room, then confiscated her Dafa books and truth clarification materials. They handcuffed her and pushed her into the trunk of the police van. With her feet hanging out of the trunk, they drove the van away until the officers heard her hit the door with her handcuffs. They then stopped the van and pushed her feet into the trunk.

Although she is highly regarded at Chengguan Elementary School in the Pinggu District of Beijing, the Pinggu Education Department suspended her because she believed in Falun Gong. She has been subjected to repeated persecution. In 2001, she was arrested and forced to undergo a brainwashing session in the Daxin District of Beijing, where she was beaten and tortured, resulting in the development of a mental disorder. She later managed to escape but was forced to leave home in order to avoid further persecution. She recovered from the mental disorder with the help of other practitioners.

Ms. Gong was arrested again in 2002, then sentenced to four years in prison. She was subjected to inhumane torture in the Beijing Women’s Prison, where she was once placed in solitary confinement for eight months and subjected to sleep deprivation, electric shocks, stick beatings, and bound. The police even incited inmates to sit on her back, which injured her legs. She now has difficulty walking.

She was arrested and taken to Yangguan Forced Labor Camp in Wuhan, Hubei Province in 2008, where she was tortured for two years. Her stomach was injured and bled as a result of forced feedings.

Following her release from the labor camp in 2002, she worked in other cities to make a living. In 2012, she was hired as a teacher for a private kindergarten in the Miyun District. She lived in the kindergarten classroom until her most recent arrest.

Despite the repeated persecution she's endured, Ms. Gong has never yielded to the authorities. She has, however, been injured. She suffers from delayed reactions to external stimuli and urinary incontinence. Her situation was reported on the Minghui.org website in the past. We hope to see continued support for practitioner Gong Ruiping.
