(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wu Shaoxia is a Falun Gong practitioner who lives in Qianxiaodianzi Village, Honghua Township, Tancheng County, Linyi City, Shandong Province. She was illegally sentenced to a three-year forced labor term in 2008 and was released in late 2010. She was arrested again in August 2011. The police also arrested her non-practitioner daughter and her grandsons, one about three years old and the other about a year old. The police detained her daughter and grandsons for half a day before releasing them but continue to detain Ms. Wu.

Around 9:00 a.m. on August 2, 2011, officers from the Honghua Township Police Station drove a car to Ms. Wu's home. That day, her daughter and her three-year-old grandson came to visit her. The police searched her home and found a copy of Minghui Weekly. The police then attempted to arrest Ms. Wu, who resisted, but they shoved her into the car. They then seized her daughter and two grandsons, who were released that same afternoon. Ms. Wu is still detained.

Ms. Wu was widowed when she was 29 years old and had to raise four children alone. At the time of her husband's death, her oldest daughter was seven years old and Her youngest son was only three months old. The hardship, difficulty, and stress made Ms. Wu very depressed and sad.

In the second half of 1997, Ms. Wu started practicing Falun Gong. Through following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she was freed from depression and sorrow, and what people saw was a happy, more hardworking, and kind woman.

Since the onset of the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Ms. Wu has been persecuted many times for remaining steadfast in her belief. She was subjected to forced labor twice, totaling four years.

In late 1999, Ms. Wu went to Beijing to seek justice for Falun Gong and was subsequently arrested. The province's liaison office in Beijing sent her back to her hometown, where she was detained by the township government for eight years.

On the evening of October 29, 2001, Ms. Wu posted messages that read, “Falun Dafa is good” in some residential areas in Xinyi City, Jiangsu Province. Officers from the Chengguan Police Station found and arrested her. The police handcuffed her to a metal frame and shocked her with electric batons. They then detained her for two months.

In December 2001, Ms. Wu went to the police station to request the return of her tricycle, but the police wouldn't give it back to her. Not only that, they detained her for four months. She was later sentenced to one year of forced labor in Zhenjiang Forced Labor Camp.

On the evening of March 19, 2008, Tancheng County 610 Office agents along with officers from the Honghua Township Police Station arrested practitioners Mr. Wu Guangyou and Mr. Zuo Shandong, who live in the same village as Ms. Wu does. They then attempted to arrest Ms. Wu, but were unsuccessful because Ms. Wu was not at home. The police then confiscated her motor-tricycle and some truth-clarification materials. Ms. Wu's non-practitioner daughter was arrested, interrogated and detained. That day, Ms. Wu had to stay away from home in order to avoid being arrested again. The police returned to her home the next evening in an attempt to arrest her, but failed. After that, they showed up at Ms. Wu's home many times to threaten and harass her.

On June 13, 2008, when Ms. Wu returned home to harvest and dry grains, she was arrested and sentenced to three years of forced labor. She suffered greatly during her imprisonment.

Ms. Wu was released from the forced labor camp in late 2010, but was arrested again within less than a year.
