(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Lin Xingru has been persecuted many times by the Chinese Communist Party for practicing Falun Dafa. In July 2008, she was sentenced to three years in Guangdong Province Women's Prison, where she was brutally persecuted. Her husband, Lai Jiamiao, was persecuted to death in Shaoguan City Prison in Guangdong Province.
Before practicing Falun Dafa, she had many health problems. On November 17, 1997, she met some practitioners who were introducing Falun Dafa and began to practice. Since then, she has followed the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to cultivate herself. All her diseases were cured without treatment of any kind.
In January 2000, Ms. Lin was arrested because she did the Falun Gong exercises in public. She was detained in Jiaoling County Detention Center for 40 days. In November 2000, she was arrested again by police from the 610 Office and Domestic Security Department of Jiaoling County as she was distributing Falun Gong truth clarification materials. Her motorcycle was confiscated and she was sent to Sanshui Women's Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province.
In 2005, the 610 Office of Jiaoling County planned to arrest her and put her in a brainwashing center. When their plan failed, the police from the 610 Office, Domestic Security Department, and local CCP members harassed her relatives. In order to avoid arrest, Mr. Lai Jiamiao and Ms. Lin became homeless. The couple stayed in Shenzhen City for a long time.
In May 2006, Ms. Lin was arrested while she was distributing Falun Gong materials in Shenzhen City. She was jailed in Futian Detention Center in Shenzhen City. She started a hunger strike, which continued for 15 days. She was released when she was on the verge of death.
In 2006, the couple lent their minivan to another Falun Gong practitioner, Mr. Xu Feng. However, Mr. Xu was arrested and the minivan was confiscated by police from the 610 Office and Domestic Security Department of Jiaoling County. The minivan has never been returned.
On November 20, 2007, police found where the couple was staying in Shenzhen City. They arrived at the couple's residence and handcuffed Mr. Lai to a chair while Ms. Lin was out shopping. As soon as she returned, several police officers arrested her. They ransacked the couple's home and took their computer, printer, satellite TV receiver, and money. The couple was jailed in Futain Detention Center in Shenzhen City for eight months. In the center, they kept doing the Falun Gong exercises and clarifying the truth to the other detainees. To protest being persecuted, Ms. Lin went on hunger strikes twice.
On July 17, 2008, Ms. Lin was sentenced to three years in Guangdong Province Women's Prison. In order to meet their target for “transforming” practitioners in the prison, the guards used brutal methods to persecute them. The torture continued day and night, causing these determined practitioners severe physical and mental damage.
As soon as Ms. Lin arrived at the prison, she was monitored by two to six collaborators 24 hours a day. They followed her wherever she went. She was not allowed to talk to anyone else and was told she had to do hard labor overtime. Ms. Lin refused to do it, so the guards made her stand for 80 hours. She was not allowed to close her eyes, use the restroom, or have anything to drink while she was standing. She was so thirsty that she once rushed to a faucet to drink some water even while two collaborators watched her. They struggled with her to prevent her from taking a drink and the faucet broke. Because she refused to cooperate with the guards, she was not permitted to use any facilities or common items for 20 days, even a piece of paper. If she refused to work, the guards would order the collaborators to carry her to the assembly line. If she still refused to work, she was forced to stand for long periods at a time.
During her three-year sentence, Ms. Lin suffered torment and mistreatment that no ordinary person could bear. Her heartfelt belief in Falun Dafa allowed her to leave the prison alive. However, her husband, Lai Jiamiao, was persecuted to death in Shaoguan City Prison in Guangdong Province.
