(Clearwisdom.net) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 28 cities or counties across 17 provinces. In this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 37 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Mr. Yan Haidong Persecuted Again
Mr. Yan Haidong from Nangaoliao Village, Yi'an Town, Laishui County, was persecuted and separated from her family members for practicing Falun Gong. In the middle of April, two police officers from Yi'an Town and one government officer broke into his home and took his fingerprints against his will.
His family members practice Falun Gong and his parents died as a result of the persecution. He was sentenced to forced labor twice. During the period when he was in the forced labor camp, his teenage child had to be taken care of by his relatives. He was “fined” 30,000 yuan. In 2000, because he could not pay, government agents from Yi'an Town sold all the family's grain. As a result, his family did not have anything to eat on Chinese New Year's Eve.
2. [Jilin Province] Ms. Yu Xiuhua and Another Practitioner Arrested by Officers from Shijinggou Police Station on April 21, 2011

Ms. Kong Shufang, a retired employee of Jiangnan Refinery Factory, Jilin Chemical Co., Jilin City, is 74 years old. On the afternoon of April 21, 2011, she was arrested by officers of the Shijinggou Police Station, Fengman Police Department, Jilin City. Now she is in the police station.

4. [Zhaodong County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Dou Changying Arrested
Ms. Dou Changying from Dongfa Township, Zhaoding County, was arrested at her home by officers from Zhaodong City Police Department in May 2010. She was taken to the Sinan Detention Center, Zhaodong City. It has been almost a year and her whereabouts are unclear. Reportedly, soon after she was taken to Sinan Detention Center, she was taken to Hulan Prison.
5. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Huanying Harassed
On the afternoon of April 22, 2011, two officers from the Daoyi Police Station and the secretary of the CCP of Daoyi Middle School went to Ms. Xu Huanying's home. They asked her for information about her computer and telephone numbers. Ms. Xu refused to tell them anything.
6. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Yu Held in Hegang Brainwashing Center for Over a Month
Ms. Liu Yu from Hegang City was arrested by officers from Guangming Police Station when she was clarifying the truth to two elementary school students on February 23, 2010. She was taken to Hongjun Police Station. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor. She suffered all kinds of torture at the Harbin City Drug Relief Reformatory. In July, she was tortured by “The big hang up” (1) and given a drug that damages the mind. For a few days, she was unconscious. When her term expired, the guards extended it by one month and said she was not yet “transformed”. Later, she was again taken to Hegang Brainwashing Center for more than a month.
7. [Shanghai] Ms. Gu Baoqun Arrested
On March 20, 2011, Ms. Gu Baoqun from the Pudongxin District was arrested by officers from Changning Police Department. Now she is in the Changning Detention Center.
8. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Shi Feng Taken into Detention Center
Ms. Shi Feng, a retired employee of Yingbin Hotel, Huai'an City, is in her 60s. On the afternoon of April 17, 2011, she was arrested by officers from Qinghe when she was clarifying the truth at the Huai'an City Stadium Plaza. Her whereabouts were unknown until the evening of April 18, 2011, when her family learned that she was in a detention center.
On May 1, 2009, she was arrested by officers from the Qinghe District 610 Office, Huai'an City. Wang Jianhuai, a police officer from the Domestic Security Division, arrested her when she was clarifying the truth at an Internet Bar. She was brutally beaten by Wang and held for 15 days at a detention center.

9. [Wending City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Jinxiang and Ms. Zhang Xiuhong Arrested and Taken to Wangcun Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Zhao Jinxiang and Ms. Zhang Xiuhong were sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor on April 16, 2011, by Wendeng City 610 Office. In addition, Ms. Qi Yajie was sentenced to one year of forced labor. They are both being held in the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp.
10. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Lian Yanling's Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Lian Yanling from Baoji City was monitored and arrested by officers from the Jintai District 610 Office on February 18, 2011. Her whereabouts are unclear.
In 2010, she was arrested and taken to Lingyun Hotel in Baoji City but escaped. She left her hometown for over six months to avoid arrest.
Her mother, Ms. Cai Jinrong, also a practitioner, was arrested when she distributed truth clarifying materials in Qianyang County, Baoji City. Later she was sentenced to three years of forced labor by the Qianyang County Court. Her father is in his 70s and has late stage kidney cancer. There is no one to take care of him.
11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Many Practitioners Arrested
On the morning of April 20, 2011, many practitioners were arrested at their homes or in their workplaces and their homes were ransacked in Wuhan City. Those arrested included Mr. Feng Zhen, Mr. Xia Yang, Mr. Li Guohua, Ms. Xiong Weiming, Mr. Yu Shan and Ms. Zhu Chunlian.
12. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Mr. Wang Xuejun Arrested and His Home Ransacked
In August 2010, Liu Caijun and Li Xianru from Wengniute Prefecture in Chifeng City and Xing Xiaomin, a police officer, forcefully entered Mr. Wang Xuejun's home saying they were taking the residential census. They took a computer, printer, cell phone, and a receipt of cash IOU. They then arrested him. He is now held at the Wengniute Prefecture Detention Center.

At noon on April 21, 2011, officers from Dongchang District Domestic Security Division, Tonghua City, stopped Mr. Du Guolin, accused him of stealing, and forcefully searched him. They found Dafa books, a computer, etc. They arrested him and the vehicle he was using was held by officers of Dongchang Police Department.

They also arrested Ms. Deng Xinhua in a store and took all the cash from the transactions for that day. They forcefully entered her home and took her personal computer and other property. These three practitioners are being held at the Yingshan County Detention Center.

Mr. Chen Bengao, 55, a retired official of Sichuan Province Water Engineer Bureau, was arrested by approximately seven unknown individuals on the morning of April 19, 2011. They took his notebook computer, Dafa books, cash, and an MP3 player. As they were ransacking his home, they brutally forbid his wife from moving.
32. [Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Qian's Term Extended
Ms. Huang Qian from Shuangliu County, Sichuan Province, was arrested when she was clarifying the truth in Buji Town, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province. She has been held at the Guangdong Province Women's Forced Labor Camp for two years. During this period, she was tortured with drugs and sexual torture. She was severely injured spiritually. Her term should have expired on March 5, 2011. The guards in the labor camp extended her term by one more month. Her term expired again. She was then taken to Xinjin Brainwashing Center by Shuangliu County 610 Office and her family members were not allowed to visit.
