(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioner Jiang Deying had been persecuted for a long time. She died on the morning of August 18, 2010 at the age of 59 as a result of torture and beatings.

Ms. Jiang was arrested and illegally detained because she believed in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She left her home in 2008 so she wouldn't be constantly monitored and harassed by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) agents and police, but she was abducted again in April 2009 and imprisoned at the Zhuzhou Baimalong Forced Labor Camp. While there, injuries from the torture and maltreatment caused edema in the lower half of her body, especially in her abdomen.

Husband persecuted to death

Yang Junliang, Ms. Jiang's husband, was an associate professor of Chemical Engineering in Hunan Normal University. Before practicing Falun Gong he had lost control of bladder and bowel functions due to a condition called syringomyelia—the result of a spinal cord injury. His many visits to major hospitals could not help him much.

In 1997 the couple began practicing Falun Dafa. Before long, the long-standing syringomyelia was miraculously cured! The healing brought a lot of joy to their family.

After the CCP began persecuting Dafa in July 1999, propaganda slandering Dafa was everywhere. The couple faced pressure from party members at the office and in the local community. After years of continuous pressure, Yang Junliang became ill again and passed away in January 2003.

After her husband died, Ms. Jiang started living with her daughter. Their life was tough because they were constantly watched and pressured by the authorities to stop practicing Falun Dafa. By the end of 2005 Ms. Jiang had been abducted six times by the CCP while trying to clarify the facts about Dafa to the general public.

Tortured at Zhuzhou Baimalong Forced Labor Camp

On the evening of December 20, 2005 officers from a branch of the Yuelu Police Department tried to enter Jiang Deying's home. She refused to open the door to them. Then, the dean of her college called and asked her to come to the college to attend to some urgent matter. Actually, he had called to get her to open her door.

After 5 a.m. the next morning, about seven policemen rushed into Ms. Jiang's home when she opened her door to leave. They searched her and then handcuffed her. She was taken to the Yuelu Police Department in Changsha City around 6 p.m. When she arrived, she joined four other Dafa practitioners who had been taken there earlier that day.

The Yuelu Police Department brought false charges against Ms. Jiang and she was illegally sent to the Zhuzhou Baimalong Forced Labor Camp for one year.

Upon arrival at the camp Jiang Deying was taken to the “Gongjian Room,” where torture was used to force practitioners to stop practicing Falun Gong. A police officer said to her, “Did you hear the screams of those being tortured?” Then, she was subjected to severe maltreatment including: beatings; forced to stand or squat for long hours; not allowed to sleep, go to the restroom, or clean herself; and forced to swallow the vomitus caused by beatings.

Ms. Jiang was forced to kneel down while being beaten. One thug said to her, “I want to beat you to death even if I have to pay for it. Do you want to sign [the agreement to stop practicing Dafa] now?” While blood poured out of her nose and mouth, the officer removed her clothes and wrote offensive language that slandered Dafa on her body. A towel was stuffed into her mouth, and later Ms. Jiang was forced to sign the “conversion” document against her will.

Abducted, homeless, home torn down

In 2006, Ms. Jiang returned home. In April 2008 while she was telling people about the benefits of Dafa, someone reported her to the police. A policeman from the Yuelu District Police Department, Zeng Xuelong, Wei Bin from the Yuelu District 610 Office, and Li Yuee and Su Renliang from the Hunan Normal University 610 Office abducted her, and took her cash, Dafa books, and other personal belongings.

About nine hours later (around midnight), Ms. Jiang escaped from the Yuelu District Police Department but didn't return to her home, in order to avoid further persecution. In the meantime, police officers Zeng Xuelong and Hu Xiangyang were looking for her and harassing many other Dafa practitioners to get information about her.

During the Beijing Olympics in 2008, the local 610 Office had part of Jiang Deying's house dismantled, and canceled her retirement benefits.

Abducted again

In April of 2009 Ms. Jiang Deying had been homeless for about a year. On April 27 she was arrested and taken to the Zuojiatang Zhian Detention Center in Changsha City. The Yuelu Police Department used false charges to send her to a forced labor camp for two years. She arrived at the Zhuzhou Baimalong Forced Labor Camp on May 11, 2009.

Serious health problems develop while at Zhuzhou Baimalong Forced Labor Camp

When Ms. Jiang Deying's health deteriorated and she developed severe edema due to maltreatment in detention, her family was notified that they could take her home. She didn't recover from the illness, and died on August 18, 2010 at around 10 a.m.
