(Clearwisdom.net) On August 22, 2011, Baoquanling Farm police in Heilongjiang Province forced their way into Ms. Li Guiyun's home. They ransacked it, then robbed and beat the residents. Eight practitioners were arrested.
The eight practitioners were: Li Guiyun, Liu Hongbin, Zhao Hongyu, Lv Guizhi, Qi Xiumei, Hu Dongling (from Harbin on business), Wang Fengyu, and Mr. Liu. Hu Dongling and Wang Fengyu were released. The local police department is now conspiring with the Procuratorate to illegally sentence the other six practitioners during their trials.
On August 22, 2011, over ten officers led by police chief Zhang Shupeng from a branch of the Baoquanling Farm Police Department scaled a wall and broke into Ms. Li Guiyun's home. Two of the officers went into the bedroom of Ms. Li's husband, a non-practitioner, and forced him to be silent. He was terrified. The remaining officers went into the living room and arrested the eight practitioners.
During this event, the practitioners tried to explain to the officers that following Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance helped people raise their ethical standards, was beneficial to personal health, and was good for society, and that supporting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in persecuting good people could result in retribution. The officers ignored them, beat them, and forced them into their vehicles. One of the practitioners was forced to the ground and another wasn't allowed to put on his shoes.
Without producing a warrant, the officers ransacked Ms. Li's home. They confiscated two mobile phones, a DVD player, two computers, a bank card, a printer, and a recorder. They took Ms. Li's month's salary of 10,000 yuan and all of her Dafa books and materials. The homes of the other practitioners were also ransacked. Zhao Hongyu lost two computers and two printers.
Ms. Li's husband submitted to an illegal interrogation overnight, causing him a great deal of fear and stress, and left him wondering why law-abiding citizens were beaten. Later, two officers went to Ms. Li's home again, intending to ransack it for the second time. Meanwhile, Zhao Hongyu's home was monitored, and visitors were illegally interrogated. Ms. Zhao's husband was not allowed to leave home.
The Baoquanling Farm Police Department formed a “task force” to deal with this event. They interrogated the practitioners illegally several times. The practitioners' faces were covered, and they were handcuffed and shackled. The duration of interrogation was lengthy, lasting from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. the next day.
After Hu Dongling was arrested, his friends and relatives from Harbin came to his aid. His supervisor and colleagues also came to vouch for him, saying, “Hu is a good man. We want him back at work.” The officers didn't want to be held responsible for this outcry and finally released him. Wang Fengyu was released on August 24, after having 30,000 yuan extorted from him. The other six practitioners were held at the Baoquanling Detention Center, the First Hegang Detention Center, and the Second Hegang Detention Center.
The parents, children, friends and relatives of the six detained practitioners went to the police department to request the practitioners' release and for the return of their personal property. Police chief Zhang Shupeng sent them away, saying, “I don't have anything to do with this. What was taken were illegal items and they cannot be returned.” The families replied, “The cash they took is for our living expenses, and those things are our personal property. Refusing to return our property is completely illegal.”
Family members also spoke to Ren Fayun, the person in charge of this case. He denied any involvement and said that they should speak to the Criminal Investigation Division. As a result, the families have no one to turn to.
During this time, the police department in Baoquanling tried to establish formal “charges” against the practitioners. The original charges sent to the Procuratorate were turned down due to a lack of evidence, so they created new charges. Currently, the police department and Procuratorate have reached an agreement and released arrest warrants for the six practitioners so that they can be tried.
